Can you please check dmesg output and see if satellite visibility

@CPU maxing: The location HAL randomly enters an invalid state when
trying to access AGPS information and subsequently spins, with the
service maxing the CPU as a result. Digging into the issue.

[Bug 1228886] [NEW] No icons next to buttons/menu items

2013-09-22 Thread Matthieu Baerts
Public bug reported:

Hello,

With gnome-settings-daemon 3.8.5-0ubuntu4, we no longer have icon next
to buttons/menu items even if menus-have-icons and buttons-have-
icons options are enabled.

It seems it's due to this new patch: git_hardcode_deprecated_gtk_settings.patch
This patch has been added to fix the bug #1227537 but is it maybe possible to
fix this bug and still use these settings?

Note that this patch has been added to fix a bug only for users of
gnome3-team ppa. Is it not better to only include this patch in this
ppa?

PS: Will these options (menus-have-icons and buttons-have-icons) be dropped
in Ubuntu when GTK 3.10 will be used? I know that Gnome devs/designers have
decided to drop stock icons and icons next to menu items/buttons but these
icons can be very useful to quickly find a menu item. We will have to read
items instead of just find the right icon.
It's also a problem for Applications Menus or files browsers made with a
GtkMenu to quickly browse files, etc. (it's still possible to have these icons
if devs force it but it will no longer be possible with GTK 4).

And it's also much more easier to indicate to children that they have to
click on this icon than on this label (if they are still not able to
read the label).

[Bug 1155575] Re: Rhythmbox not reading 'year' tag

2013-09-22 Thread Strelok
This is known Rhythmbox bug:
https://mail.gnome.org/archives/rhythmbox-devel/2013-June/msg00013.html
Here is fix commit:
https://git.gnome.org/browse/rhythmbox/commit/?id=d78b2db2762becc2556c454e8ae7f12521eb8f1f

In attachment cherry-picked patch from upstream to fix this issue in
Ubuntu version of Rhythmbox. Maintainers, please send patched version to
repository.

To test it:
1) Download Rhythmbox source for Ubuntu:
apt-get source rhythmbox
2) Copy patch:
copy fix_metadata_read.patch (from attachment) to debian/patches/ and append to
debian/patches/series line:
fix_metadata_read.patch
3) Install dependences:
sudo apt-get build-dep rhythmbox
4) Build .deb:
sudo debuild -uc -us
5) Install patched version:
sudo dpkg -i librhythmbox-core6_2.98-0ubuntu5_amd64.deb

Be careful, this instruction not full. You must know that are you doing.

This patch works for me perfectly.

[Bug 1155575] Re: Rhythmbox not reading 'year' tag

2013-09-22 Thread Strelok
Why the status is invalid for Nautilus?
Because this bug Rhythmbox-specific. You need to open new bug to Nautilus. See
Reporting Bugs rules: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs
The rule of thumb is one report, per person, per hardware combination, per
 bug.
Please do not stack multiple issues into one report

Sorry for this, i suppose it's obvious.

[Bug 1223498] Re: Control center is completely translated in Saucy in Russian but shows untranslated

2013-09-22 Thread Timo Jyrinki
For g-c-c, I searched the translation templates and it turns out 'menu-
sections' would currently have Hardware and System translations, but
I couldn't find a template that would also have Personal, although
individually it's eg. in gnome-contacts.
