[Bug 1170647] Re: Clicking on Nautilus’ launcher icon opens new window instead of restoring the minimized one when browsing external drives/locations
Hey, all. I have a workaround on this. Try this. (Feedback, Please. I may lost some step.) 1. Use fstab to mount your (external) disk into another directory on /media . For example /media/disk a. Please use auto, (if ntfs) ntfs-3g as mount option. 2. Create a link of /media/disk and give it a name based on your username. Put this link on the same directory (e.g. /media/) 3. Well, try it now. Well, I don't know that the bug I reported already exist. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1170647 Title: Clicking on Nautilus’ launcher icon opens new window instead of restoring the minimized one when browsing external drives/locations To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bamf/+bug/1170647/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1231978] Re: Thunar 1.6.3 locks when browsing Trash with Xubuntu 13.10 Beta 2 and following dailies
Any chance you can confirm that downgrading to gvfs 1.18.0 fixes this again, i. e. that the regression is in 1.18.1? You can get the old binaries from https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gvfs/1.18.0-0ubuntu1, click on your architecture, download the debs and install them with sudo dpkg -iO *.deb. Once that's confirmed, we need to find out which particular commit broke it. There aren't too many relevant ones between .0 and .1, the most plausible one is https://git.gnome.org/browse/gvfs/commit/?id=3448fa01d5 . Perhaps nautilus and thunar use the gvfs API differently so that the lock doesn't happen in GNOME (trash works fine here). This is indeed a bug in overlay-scrollbar. When the adjustment changes, the OS_STATE_FULLSIZE flag is updated accordingly and os_bar_show() or os_bar_hide() is invoked as necessary. However... - the flag is not computed initially, nor when mapping the window; - the flag is set when unmapping the window, which doesn't make sense since a subsequent adjustment will update it again There's already a FIXME(Cimi) in adjustment_changed_cb() which seems to be relevant. ** Package changed: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu) = overlay-scrollbar (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-terminal in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/827380 Title: scroll bar disappears when switching tabs To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/overlay-scrollbar/+bug/827380/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1195725] Re: Nautilus window jumping with dual monitors
I flipped the configuration of my monitors so that the leftmost part of my display configuration is my external monitor and to the right is the laptop screen. Now I see that the windows opened in my laptop screen moving to my external monitor after the first double click on maximized nautilus or typing into the address bar of the maximized chrome-browser. This brings me to the conclusion that the window is forced to the leftmost monitor. [Bug 1234453] [NEW] Terminal freezes during long-running applications
Public bug reported: What Was Expected: Virtual Terminal would simply display output until program terminated or ended. What Happens: When running an application in terminal, either as a launcher or simply opening a virtual terminal directly , the screen output randomly freezes and the generating running application freezes. To resume, one must double-click the open terminal window and/or use terminal reset clear. The problem makes running almost any application with terminal screen output unusable--for example, running a machine learning algorithm. The problem affects both mate-terminal and gnome-terminal. The bug does not affect a simple x-terminal instance. Affected Applications: gnome-terminal mate-terminal but not xterminal. Test Code: The following simple Python3 code demonstrates the issue. import time starttime = time.time() i = 0 while(True): i = i + 1 print(Still working , i, , time.time() - starttime) When running this code in a mate-terminal or gnome-terminal instance, the code displays a simple message along with the time. After a random period, sometimes seconds, sometimes minutes, the bug arises when the terminal instance screen simply freezes. That is, display output just stops in mid-stream. You can resume but only by double-clicking or using reset clear. The bug affects at least Python and Java applications with output displaying to the terminal. Approximate Number of Tests: Over 50 and narrowed the issue to the terminal instances. Hardware: i7 4770 32GB RAM (new) Nvidia 760 Video (note: the problems occurs with Nouveua or any proprietary Nvidia driver versions 3.04 through 3.25, that is, all were tested to see if this was just a driver issue and none resolved the issue) OS: Ubuntu 13.04 (with all updates) Desktops: Confirmed the bug occurs under Ubuntu Default, GNOME3, and MATE desktops. apt-cache policy gnome-terminal gnome-terminal: Installed: 3.6.1-0ubuntu4 Candidate: 3.6.1-0ubuntu4 Version table: *** 3.6.1-0ubuntu4 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ raring/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status apt-cache policy mate-terminal mate-terminal: Installed: 1.6.1-1.1+raring Candidate: 1.6.1-1.1+raring Version table: *** 1.6.1-1.1+raring 0 500 http://packages.mate-desktop.org/repo/ubuntu/ raring/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 13.04 Package: gnome-terminal 3.6.1-0ubuntu4 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.8.0-31.46-generic 3.8.13.8 Uname: Linux 3.8.0-31-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia ApportVersion: 2.9.2-0ubuntu8.3 Architecture: amd64 Date: Wed Oct 2 19:52:43 2013 InstallationDate: Installed on 2013-08-06 (57 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail - Release amd64 (20130424) MarkForUpload: True ProcEnviron: TERM=xterm PATH=(custom, no user) XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=set LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: gnome-terminal UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug raring third-party-packages ** Attachment added: Screenshot showing terminal freeze https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1234453/+attachment/3856284/+files/Terminal%20Freeze%20Screenshot%20from%202013-09-26%2011%3A54%3A09.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-terminal in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1234453 Title: Terminal freezes during long-running applications To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-terminal/+bug/1234453/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
