[Bug 1182658] Re: Geolocation is not working in the browser
I installed libubuntu-location-service0 built from the latest trunk (revision 40), that supposedly removes some exception throwing, however I’m still getting a very similar stacktrace: […] #9 0x400af172 in _Unwind_Resume () at ../../../src/libgcc/config/arm/libunwind.S:344 #10 0x42e23eee in com::ubuntu::location::service::session::Stub::stop_position_updates() () from /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/libubuntu-location-service.so.0 #11 0x4f7b4a08 in ?? [Bug 206837] Re: Gedit text area has small gap between edge of text area and edge of window
Gedit 3.6.2, maximized, at the right edge: * right mouse button acts as old middle mouse button: It brings the scroll bar slider handle to it instantly and you can scroll up and down by holding down the RMB and moving it. Works fine and mostly as expected. * middle mouse button does nothing (but it can be used to grab the slider when away from the very edge of screen). * left mouse button will initiate a pagedown when clicked anywhere below the top edge of the slider handle. It will pageup when clicked above the top edge of the slider handle. Holding it down will initiate multiple page movements in the direction of the first paging, until released. On the whole, the mouse behavior seems workable again. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/206837 Title: Gedit text area has small gap between edge of text area and edge of window To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gtk/+bug/206837/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1238410] [NEW] Inconsistent cursor visibility with cursor plugin enabled
Public bug reported: On fresh boots the greeter desktop may have the cursor visible or may not until mouse is moved. On a log out/in the cursor is almost always invisible until mouse is moved. This is all well good, maybe some intentional aesthetics/design , however sometimes the cursor never becomes visible. In that case hitting some keys or context menu can cause it to show, though most times a log out is needed. (with the removal of ctrl+alt+delete log out this means most users will need to either blindly find the session indicator or hit power button. When the g-s-d cursor plugin is disabled then the cursor is always visible, it the plugin has no use in an ubuntu session then maybe it should be default disabled There is also the possibility, particularly on ssd drives, of a login with no session indicator. This occasionally combines with no visible cursor. [Bug 955915] Re: screensaver shows old screen content on return from sleep
I am seeing same symptoms in Ubuntu Studio 13.10 Final Beta 2. This uses xfce4 so this issue may not be gnome-screensaver specific. I believe this could be classed as a security issue because it occurs after sleep, before screen lock kicks in, so a user may have put the machine to sleep expecting it to be (fairly) secure but another user may subsequently see the desktop (and any open document). As a minimum it is a privacy issue. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-screensaver in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/955915 Title: screensaver shows old screen content on return from sleep To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-screensaver/+bug/955915/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
