[Bug 1261619] Re: Update GNOME Terminal to 3.10.2

2013-12-17 Thread Iain Lane
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=706065

I tried to talk to doko but didn't get any traction. Perhaps someone
else could do that again or just do the upgrade as Debian did and take
the heat.

Regardless, I'm not actively planning on working on this update atm, so
I'm going to unassign myself.

[Bug 1238410] Re: Inconsistent cursor visibility with cursor plugin enabled

2013-12-17 Thread Chris Halse Rogers
Hello Doug, or anyone else affected,

Accepted xorg-server into saucy-proposed. The package will build now and
be available at http://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-
server/2:1.14.5-1ubuntu2~saucy1 in a few hours, and then in the
-proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to
enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update
out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug,
mentioning the version of the package you tested, and change the tag
from verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not fix the
bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to
verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help
us make a better decision.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in
advance!

[Bug 1164016] Re: restore type-ahead find

2013-12-17 Thread M Oberhauser
@Daniel: Cycling throught the results w/MouseWheel sounds fine.

If point 2 (Hide search window when mouse clicks somewhere else) is
done, one can easily click in the file browser and continue scrolling as
usual.

A thing I wanted to add and might be helpul: If Nautilus is opened over
a Select file button (e.g. upload file in Firefox, open file in
certain programs) the recursive search is NOT active but the type ahead
functionality. So it is still implemented somehow.

[Bug 1241309] Re: Ubuntu 13.10 has no way to change individual input method settings

2013-12-17 Thread Ma Xiaojun
Dear ibus-chewing users:

Ubuntu's keyboard indicator doesn't provide a UI for config input
engines currently, which is certainly a BIG problem.

However, ibus-chewing has an inherent problem that makes it impossible for
other programs to invoke its config UI:

[Bug 1238410] Re: Inconsistent cursor visibility with cursor plugin enabled

2013-12-17 Thread valadil
I'm glad to see there's a fix. I haven't had the cursor staying
invisible problem, but I have an issue with this setting in general.

I use focus follows mouse. When the mouse blanks out, whatever window
it's over gets focus.

The use case where this behavior is most noticeable is in my IDE. I hit
ctrl-h to make a search window pop up. I start typing in the search.
Then my mouse disappears and focus switches to my IDE's editor. Now I'm
typing a fragment of my search in there. This happens a couple times a
minute and it's aggravating as hell.

Please consider changing the default setting OR the behavior of the
mosue blanking out so that it doesn't trigger focus.

[Bug 60448] Re: .xsession-errors file grows out of control saturates disk space

2013-12-17 Thread Alkis Georgopoulos
Xsession or xinit should install a filter on stdout/stderr that checks
every line in the output, so that if the same line is written
repeatedly, they'd display something like:

$date - Xsession: last message repeated 1.000.000 times

Pulseaudio does something similar, producing entries like this in syslog:

2013-12-17 Thread Phil Wyett
Public bug reported:

Ubuntu Gnome - 14.04 dev release - 20131217.

Have two '.tar.gz' files in my home folder for extraction.

2013-12-17 Thread Apport retracing service
Thank you for your report!

However, processing it in order to get sufficient information for the
developers failed (it does not generate a useful symbolic stack trace). This
might be caused by some outdated packages which were installed on your system
at the time of the report:

outdated debug symbol package for libudev1: package version
204-0ubuntu19 dbgsym version 204-0ubuntu18

Please upgrade your system to the latest package versions. If you still
encounter the crash, please file a new report.
