The issue seems to be an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug to the developers of the software by following the instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME. If you have done so, please tell us the number of the upstream bug (or the link), so we can add a bugwatch that will inform us about its status. [Bug 1280794] Re: Can't change default Open with application
On a closer look I don't see any big issue here. I happened to choose the only filetype as a test/example that *I've found* to be an issue - .mp4 When one uses ..Details Default, ect on video there are these 2 lines concerning .mp4 created - video/mp4= video/mp4v-es= So when both lines exist with a = of player A then nautilus properties open with doesn't work properly on a .mp4 when trying to set one or the other to player B as default mimeapps.list will reflect the change but nautilus will not until the other line is either removed or edited to match ( most users will only have video/mp4 files.. So I guess this is a valid bug, albeit small, if would be good to know if there are any other 'conflicts' in video or audio mimes before considering an upstream bug. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1280794 Title: Can't change default Open with application To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1280794/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 146862] Re: Should not allow to paste in the Leave Message box
I would like to draw attention to this issue again. The fix which was created is somewhat problematic, as it causes clipboard content to be lost when the screensaver password screen is shown. Relevant to me is that when that screen is shown in an Ubuntu guest in VirtualBox using clipboard sharing it causes the host clipboard contents to be lost. The original problem which the fix solved no longer exists, since the leave a message functionality in gnome-screensaver is long gone, but the upstream GNOME developers do not seem interested in reverting the fix, as gnome-screensaver is only used by Ubuntu at this point and is deprecated upstream. Would it be possible then for you to make that change in Ubuntu? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/146862 Title: Should not allow to paste in the Leave Message box To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-screensaver/+bug/146862/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1193525] Re: rhythmbox crashed with SIGSEGV in sem_post()
I am having this problem as well, exactly as described by terry_gardener, above. I have attached a GDB backtrace and execution log with all debugging symbols installed so nothing is missing. This is still an issue in Saucy currently, though it must not be for very many people. Wondering why this affects such a small user base? Please let me know if there is any other information I can provide to assist in fixing this issue.
