[Bug 829169] Re: Archive Manager refuses to open zip-type archives
Feedback: My previous issue was with zip files selected and downloaded from midori (0.4.3) browser links. First strange issue, the downloaded file was created where chosen but empty (a real full copy was done into /temp dir). After either cut/paste to the right path or filling the 0 byte file created with it content from the /tmp dir, then that zip file cant be loaded/extracted, neither directly nor from a terminal. That is; so i've used chromium as the browser to select and download the same zip files. And that time there is no more issue with these zip files !!! So it seems a midori issue to me. [Bug 1283003] Re: [Bluetooth + 14.04] Bluetooth headsets are not working after last couple of updates
Hi, I'm also having issues with Bluetooth on a fresh install of Ubuntu 14.04. I have the RT3290 chipset and had to patch and compile the Bluetooth driver from source. After installing the Bluetooth driver, the Bluetooth icon shows up as expected and I can try to pair with other devices. I tested with Logitech Bluetooth Headset for iPad2 and with a Siliphone Bluetooth Speaker. Both worked perfectly fine under Ubuntu 12.04. However, when I try to pair the devices I always get something like Failure configuring device (not this exact words because my Ubuntu is not in english). It happens with both. I also tried with bluez-simple-agent and I get the error Creating device failed: org.bluez.Error.AuthenticationFailed: Authentication Failed. It never prompted me to input any passkey. [Bug 296867]
Here it is! It is limited to XMPP, and empathy has only rudimentary UI. To start an OTR session, in empathy chat window, type /otr start. Type /help otr to see other supported otr actions. There is no graphical UI atm. Notably, to authenticate the other end, you need to verify its fingerprint by other means, like IRL or phone, etc, then type /otr trust. It remembers fingerprints you trust of course, so you won't have to repeat that for each conversation. I tested this between empathy and pidgin-otr only. [Bug 1315579] Re: When using scim-m17n in gedit, the backspace and delete keys are dysfunctional
Note: In order to get scim-m17n functional in 14.04: 1. Install scim 2. Install scim-m17n 3. Add ppa:gunnarhj/misc to your system's Software Sources. Until you do this, the m17n packages will not work. Further info about that matter here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/scim-m17n/+bug/1312517 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gedit in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1315579 Title: When using scim-m17n in gedit, the backspace and delete keys are dysfunctional To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gedit/+bug/1315579/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
