[Bug 1377939] Re: [location] + [Scope] using location cause a dialog An unconfined application wants to access your current location

The fix for this bug has been released some time ago. Wonder why it was
bumped to high for the UX?

The importance and status were changed so that the corresponding designer can
review the bug/implementation.
Otherwise the bug will always remain as new for ubuntu-ux. This way we can
make sure not to loose track of it or comment here if there are any other
outstanding issues.

[Bug 1058623] Re: APM settings are not persistent after a reboot

2014-12-01 Thread Rocko
Just FYI, udisks2 handles drives (at least in 14.04+) and you can
configure things like APM level for individual disks by putting an entry
into /etc/udisks2 with a filename that matches the drive id and serial
number (which you can read from gnome-disks/palimpsest), eg with the
contents:

[ATA]
StandbyTimeout=60

Do man 8 udisks for more info about the format of the file.

In addition to that, old behavior of Ctrl+F used to be to select all

systemd (217-2ubuntu1) vivid; urgency=medium

  * Merge with Debian unstable. See 217-1ubuntu1 for remaining Ubuntu changes.
  * Put session scopes into all cgroup controllers instead of their parent
user slices. This works better with killing sessions and is consistent
with the systemd controller.
  * Do not realize and migrate cgroups multiple times, in particular
-.slice. This fixes PIDs in non-systemd cgroup controllers to be
randomly migrated back to /. (LP: #1346734)
  * boot-and-services autopkgtest: Give test apparmor job some time to
actually finish.

systemd (217-2) experimental; urgency=medium

  * Re-enable journal forwarding to syslog, until Debian's sysloggers
can/do all read from the journal directly.
  * Fix hostnamectl exit code on success.
  * Fix diff failed with error code 1 spew with systemd-delta.
(Closes: #771397)
  * Re-enable systemd-resolved. This wasn't meant to break the entire
networkd, just disable the new NSS module. Remove that one manually
instead. (Closes: #771423, LP: #1397361)
  * Import v217-stable patches (up to commit bfb4c47 from 2014-11-07).
  * Disable AppArmor again. This first requires moving libapparmor to /lib
(see #771667). (Closes: #771652)

The actual problem with the grilo plugin for youtube was in totem-pl-

considering totem in 14.04 doesn't have grilo enabled then a bit of a

[Bug 1398132] [NEW] bluetooth problems

2014-12-01 Thread David
Public bug reported:

Hi,

After booting up the computer the GNOME bluetooth applet is not able to
turn on bluetooth (the slider slides, for an instance of a second my
paired devices show up, and then the slider is on OFF again).

The bug has been identified by Bastien Nocera from the gnome team:
Get the distribution to fix this. GNOME 3.12 (when both g-s-d and
gnome-bluetooth 3.12 are used) will talk to rfkill directly to fix such
problems. Your mismatched version won't (older gnome-bluetooth doesn't know
 how
to talk to the newer gnome-settings-daemon).

What was suggested in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-

Making another bug report doesn't achieve this.

[Bug 1384437] Re: 8086:088e [Asus UX32VD] bluetooth problems

2014-12-01 Thread David
Sorry for that. The term ping is not something that I have found on
any launchpad site. Now I have sent a mail via Contact this team's
admins of the “Ubuntu Desktop” team. Hope thats the way to go.

Thanks,
David

[Bug 1393754] Re: Evince does not open this TIFF document

2014-12-01 Thread UlfZibis
I do not find settings in imview to successfully display others than
page 1 of the attached TIFF file. I also can only see 100 % resolution,
so I have to use the sliders to see the whole content of the document,
the zoom-out function doesn't work.

[Bug 1283003] Re: [Bluetooth + 14.04] Bluetooth headsets are not working after last couple of updates

2014-12-01 Thread fragargon
hi,

got the same bug, bluetooth doesn't connect to my jbl pulse (wireless
bluetooth speaker). However the command given works

pactl load-module module-bluetooth-discover

It needs to be launched at each reboot into terminal. my work around is
the following:

a create a sh script blueauto

[code]
#!/bin/sh
sleep 15
pactl load-module module-bluetooth-discover
[/code]

in terminal == chmod a+r /to/your/folder/blueauto

and then go to your startup application (controle center) and select the script.
it doesn't connect automaticaly, you need to connect it. but this is a
workaround till blueman developer solved this bug.

[Bug 1360005] Re: Cyrillic symbols looks strange when using autocompletion

2014-12-01 Thread Peter Cordes
Does the completed filename look different from the output of ls?

Can you copy/paste a test-case? I don't know how to type cyrillic
characters without busting out gucharmap, but I have no problem pasting
mkdir / touch 'some UTF8' into a shell to test it out.

e.g.
touch cyrillic with spaces
echo ./cyr[TAB] = ?
ls
output

[Bug 1382843] Re: corrupted double-linked list

2014-12-01 Thread arzitek
I recently upgraded to Ubuntu 14.10 (from 14.04) so it upgraded Shotwell from
18.x to 20.2, and now I see this same problem (corrupted double-linked list
error message) while trying to upload to Flickr. Usually before the upload
actually starts (sometimes when I hit Cancel so not even starting to upload).
So far it worked after restarting shotwell from scratch so it looks like a
sporadic (but frequent) bug.
