@leandromartinez98

In Emacs inside terminal (with the option -nw) it works very fine! But
not in Emacs windowed version.

GNU Emacs 24.3.1 (x86_64-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 3.10.9)
of 2014-06-06 on brownie, modified by Debian

My system is a Xubuntu:

No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description:Ubuntu 14.10
Release:14.10
Codename: utopic

I also have problem with WebStorm 10.0 and IntelliJ 13.1.6

I tried your solution but without kill my session (I'm sorry, I can't do
it right now). There is a way to test without killing the section? Isn't
source ~/.profile not enough?

Thank you.

[Bug 1441241] [NEW] Ubuntu Nexus 4 does not detect location

2015-04-07 Thread Zachary Igielman
Public bug reported:

Whenever I try to locate myself, the app/scope/whatever I am using does
not manage to locate me even if location detection and GPS are on. The
only way I manage to locate myself is through being connected to a
wireless network.

I have tried using different apps and scopes that all use location data
and none of them receive any GPS information unless I am on a wireless
network.

I never turn GPS off and I live in central London so there is no way it
cannot find a GPS fix (I also have spend a lot of time outside and still
no luck). I am using the OSMTouch app and it spends 20 seconds trying to
locate me and comes back with Geolocation failed.

This is using a Nexus 4. I have tried the current stable and devel-
proposed channels.

I asked on IRC this morning to find other people having issues with
Nexus 4 GPS including one person who said: 'on the N4 i actually have to
leave the device outside on the window shelf for 20-30 min to get GPS at
all.'

Is this a known issue with the Nexus 4? Is there a fix for this? Can
anybody help fix this?

Hi Felipe,

I tried it on the windowed emacs, and it worked. I think you need to logout and
login again so that the new
option applies to all instances of your session.

[Bug 1441285] [NEW] Huawei E173 not recognized as a modem

2015-04-07 Thread abldef
Public bug reported:

My Huawei E173 modem is not recognized as a modem anymore after
installing Ubuntu 15.04 and Mainline kernel 4.0 RC6. It worked out of
the box with Ubuntu 14.10.

I tried various guides (editing /etc/modules and
/lib/udev/rules.d/40-usb_modeswitch.rules) but none of them worked. I
finally stumbled upon a script (https://gist.github.com/rehno-
lindeque/4500517) that made the modem usable (recognized by Network
Manager)

The downside is, I have to run the script every time i plug the modem
in, would like a permanent solution.

[Bug 1294159] Re: Option --active doesn't work as expected

2015-04-07 Thread hakon
This bug is also present in gnome-terminal version 3.6.2. Here is my
configuration:

$ lsb_release -rd
Description:Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS
Release:14.04

$ apt-cache policy gnome-terminal
gnome-terminal:
  Installed: 3.6.2-0ubuntu1
  Candidate: 3.6.2-0ubuntu1
  Version table:
 *** 3.6.2-0ubuntu1 0
500 http://no.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty/main amd64 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

When I open gnome-terminal with multiple tabs from the command line, I would
like to preselect (on the command line) which one of the tabs should get focus.

I tried

gnome-terminal --tab -t A --active --tab -t B

to set tab A as the active, but instead tab B becomes the active one.

[Bug 1439109] Re: Network interface not coming up automatically inside lxc container

2015-04-07 Thread Martin Pitt
Shouldn't this rather be sudo update-rc.d networking defaults? That
won't actually put back a removed symlink as this counts as user change
that needs to be preserved. So the question is still what made this
disappear?

[Bug 1425376] Re: Ubuntu Core provides no console login prompt if network is unavailable

2015-04-07 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
This bug was fixed in the package systemd - 219-6ubuntu2

---
systemd (219-6ubuntu2) vivid; urgency=medium

  * Merge fixes from Debian experimental branch.
  * ifup@.service: Run ifup in the background during boot, to avoid blocking
network.target. (LP: #1425376)
  * Drop hwdb-update dependency from udev-trigger.service, which got
introduced in v219-stable. This causes udev and plymouth to start too late
and isn't really needed in Ubuntu yet as we don't support stateless
systems yet and handle hwdb.bin updates through dpkg triggers. This can be
dropped again with initramfs-tools 0.117.

systemd (219-7) UNRELEASED; urgency=medium

  [ Martin Pitt ]
  * Make systemd-sysv's dependency to systemd unversioned. The package just
contains 6 symlinks and thus isn't sensitive at all against version
mismatches. This avoids running into circular dependencies when testing
local debs.
  * Revert udev: Drop hwdb-update dependency and replace with upstream patch
which moves it to systemd-udev-trigger.service.
  * display-managers autopkgtest: Properly wait until all jobs are finished,
instead of a static sleep.

  [ Adam Conrad ]
  * debian/systemd.{triggers,postinst}: Trigger a systemctl daemon-reload
when init scripts are installed or removed (Closes: #766429)

[Bug 518056] Re: cedilla appears as accented c (ć instead of ç) when typing 'c

2015-04-07 Thread Gunnar Hjalmarsson
I have prepared for supporting pt_PT in the same manner as pt_BR, and
when doing so I learned some new stuff.

The default input method framework in Ubuntu is IBus, and as long as
IBus is enabled, it's actually IBus which turns '+c to ç when LC_CTYPE
is pt_BR.UTF-8. Only when IBus is disabled, the libx11 package makes a
difference. Consequently, to properly support pt_PT, both the ibus and
the libx11 packages need to be changed. (A minor adjustment to language-
selector will also be needed.)

I created a new PPA, and uploaded modified (utopic) versions of ibus and
libx11 there:

[Bug 1437492] Re: systemd-udev-settle stalls booting

2015-04-07 Thread Martin Pitt
The kernel log shows huge gaps in device detection, apparently the
hardware gets locked up during USB detection/enumeration?

[7.292422] input: HDA Intel HDMI HDMI/DP,pcm=7 as

Could you try disconnecting as many USB devices as possible, see whether
that helps, and then re-connect them one by one to see which one is the
culprit? This might be a hardware or kernel bug, I don't know yet.
