[Bug 1153488] Re: Treats bluetooth input device batteries as batteries

2015-09-09 Thread darkMatter
I'm getting this error on Mint 17.2 w/kernel 3.19.0-26 too. My bluetooth
mouse seems to be fine (no battery registering), but my keyboard is
showing as a 2nd laptop battery. It keeps disconnecting my keyboard so
I have to press a button to wake it back up. Guessing it may be putting
it to sleep because of an idle setting somewhere?

[Bug 1492129] Re: FFE: integrate networkd with /etc/network/if-*.d/ scripts

2015-09-09 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
This bug was fixed in the package systemd - 225-1ubuntu3

---
systemd (225-1ubuntu3) wily; urgency=medium

  * Enable libseccomp support for mips64, mips64el, and x32. (Closes: #797403)
  * debian/tests/networkd: Add hotplug tests.
  * Make networkd call if-up.d/ scripts when it brings up interfaces, to
become compatible with ifupdown and NetworkManager for packages shipping
hooks. (LP: #1492129)
- Add debian/extra/units/networkd-if-up.d@.service: Wait for a particular
interface to be up, and call if-up.d/ for it if it is managed by
networkd. Correspondingly, call if-post-down.d/ scripts when stopping.
- debian/extra/udev-helpers/net.agent: Start/stop
  networkd-if-up.d@.service when interfaces appear/go away.
- debian/tests/networkd: Verify that if-up.d/ and if-post-down.d/ scripts
get run for a networkd managed interface.
- Note that if-pre-up.d/ and if-down.d/ scripts are *not* being called, as
they are often not applicable for networkd (if-pre-up.d) and unreliable
  (if-down.d).
  * Drop udev-finish. We needed this for the autogenerated CD and network
interface names, but both are gone now.
  * Drop debian/udev.udev-fallback-graphics.upstart. The vesafb module has
been compiled into the kernel in both Debian and Ubuntu for a fair while,
this never had a systemd equivalent, and Debian never shipped the
accompanying rules for determining $PRIMARY_DEVICE_FOR_DISPLAY.
  * debian/control: Remove some boilerplate from the long descriptions, to
more easily get to the point what a specific package actually does.
  * debian/README.Debian: As systemd is the default init now, replace the
documentation how to switch to systemd with how to switch back
(temporarily or permanently) to SysV init. Also move that paragraph to the
bottom as it's now less important.
  * debian/README.Debian: Add a hint why you may want to enable persistent
journal, and suggest to uninstall system-log-daemon to avoid duplicate
logging.
  * debian/README.Debian: Add documentation about networkd integration.

[Bug 1251213] Re: From the lock screen , It happened to unable to type password

2015-09-09 Thread Spearmint2
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1311316 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1311316

First time happening to me.
Left in lock overnight, I leave mine on all the time for weeks at a time.
Wiggle mouse to wakeup. Keyboard wakeup is set to off in BIOS due to cats. The
login appeared.
Unable to type in password. Used mouse finally to Logout. Entered a Guest
account which I have
set up in very restrictive manner, and doesn't need a password to use. Clicked
on Menu, it opened,
but nothing past that wanted to open from the menu using mouse. No keyboard use
either.
I use a KVM, fully USB with USB keyboard and USB Mouse.
I turned on second computer and was able to soft-switch from keyboard
(scroll,scroll, arrow)
over to it. I then switched back and was able to
logout the Guest and login to my user account.
Seems my problem was KVM caused. Might be of help for others
who have had similar problem and also use a KVM. Also unplugging a USB keyboard
that is direct to computer
and then plugging back in might get past the problem.

[Bug 1493897] [NEW] Mouse 1003 mode reports wrong button

The buggy behaviour is the same as described in the gnome bug here:

It got fixed there in February but it's still occurring in Ubuntu 15.04
Is it a difference between Gnome2 and Gnome3?

[Bug 1493908] [NEW] ctrl+z key combination does not restore picture to its original setting

2015-09-09 Thread Istimsak
Public bug reported:

The shotwell testcase for ubuntu desktop has a few errors.

First, the "red-eye" edit button did not show a red circle when the
"apply" button is pressed. Instead it shows a green circle when pressed.

Second, after a picture has been cropped, the ctrl+z key combination
does not restore the image back to its current setting. When pressing
the ctrl+z combo, the rotate button begins shifting from right to left
rotate. Sometimes, it will actually rotate the image.

Re: [Bug 1491666] Re: System Monitor hangs when network offline

2015-09-09 Thread Nicholas Joll
Thanks Timo. Let me, though, and briefly, restate my reasoning about the
network problem: this problem makes it hard - impossible for some people
- to do something many of them will have a strong need to do; therefore,
whatever its origin, Mint should try to fix or work-around it. Compare:
if I run a hotel and the government should provide my electricity, and
yet fails so to do, then, while I wait for the government to fulfil its
obligations, I had better install a generator. For otherwise my guests
will leave.

[Bug 1493964] [NEW] Gnome terminal scrollbars background is not themable

2015-09-09 Thread Treviño
Public bug reported:

This is related to bug #1451924, however upstream proposed fix is not
yet ready to use.

Basically gnome-terminal provides a scroll bar which is boxed
horizontally with the terminal itself, and currently the scrollbar
background is not inherited from terminal itself, leading to a white
background.

Thanks Jason for explanation, indeed it was a problem in the PDF
creator. Just for completeness I'm posting link describing the problem
and solution in pdfTEX:

[Bug 1391012] Re: The preferences menu in gedit is missing.

When will the missing preferences but in gedit be restored. It is
required for legal reasons (accessibility) as there's no way to change
the font without it.

[Bug 1391012] Re: The preferences menu in gedit is missing.

2015-09-09 Thread Frann Leach
I don't see why this is marked with importance "low". It's vital to be
able to change fonts if you have short sight. So for accessibility
reasons (a legal requirement in UK), this should be set to high.

I have the same problem after upgrading to 14.04. Had I known about it I
would not have upgraded. My advanced search no longer works, and I need
it.
