[Bug 1368647] Re: GPS and location detection not working on Nexus 4

2015-09-30 Thread jtd
Ubuntu phone 15.04 (r23) [mako]

Issue still persists (Weather "Scan for location" returns >100km away;
does not ask me if I wish to "Allow" or "Deny" access; Security &
Privacy > "Using GPS only"; Security & Privacy > "Allow access to
location" does not include Weather app)

[Bug 1501250] Re: double clicking on a URL drops the protocol from the URL

2015-09-30 Thread Egmont Koblinger
The double click behavior doesn't care about URLs at all. It considers
certain characters as part of a word, certain others are not. There were
many debates specifically around whether ':' should be a word character
or not by default.

Unfortunately the setting is not available on the UI; see
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=730632#c33 for how to set
this hidden value.

[Bug 1500228] Re: When scrolling back up some of the bottom comes up as a sort of sleeve

2015-09-30 Thread Egmont Koblinger
Vte used to contain such drawing bugs, but we fixed all the known ones
about 1.5 years ago and I haven't seen any display corruption like yours
since then; nor have seen any other user complaining (I keep an eye on
official gnome-terminal bugzilla, Ubuntu, Debian and Red Hat
bugtracker).

I use Wily beta and cannot reproduce your issue.

This gives me a hunch that it's probably something wrong with Gnome3
staging, or perhaps your X driver or something like that.

But of course it can be a gnome-terminal/vte bug which only occurs on
your computer.

Reproducing in a VM with Wily: if you can reproduce then that's
definitely helpful; but if you can't then that means nothing: it still
could be buggy with Wily directly on your computer.

Are you planning to update any time soon? My recommendation is to wait
until you upgrade and use mainstream Wily (no Gnome3 staging) and still
can reproduce it there. If it's still an issue I'd be happy to start
debugging it with you, but I would first like to exclude the possibility
that something in Gnome3 staging is the culprit.

[Bug 1501273] [NEW] File paste operation doesn't show the correct time

2015-09-30 Thread GUI_Junkie
Public bug reported:

When pasting a large (number of) file(s), Nautilus shows a dialog with
the time in minutes it'll take to finish the copy process.

The displayed time is one minute off. When the counter reaches 0, it
shows 59 seconds...

I propose to show the second counter when Nautilus reaches 1 minute.

This is not urgent.

[Bug 285104] Re: Keyboard shortcut "raise obscured window, otherwise lower" doesn't work

2015-09-30 Thread NickTh 
Hello,
as part of the bug clean up ahead of 16.04 LTS I'm marking this as invalid
because it affects an Ubuntu release which is now unsupported. If you can still
recreate this bug in a supported release please do open a new bug and we can
triage it for consideration in the 16.04 LTS development cycle.

Regards
NickTh

[Bug 1441487] Re: Running any Java program produces messages in the terminal, while rendering many Java applications broken

2015-09-30 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
This bug was fixed in the package jayatana - 2.7-0ubuntu4

---
jayatana (2.7-0ubuntu4) wily; urgency=medium

  * Do not export JAVA_TOOL_OPTION session file for now. It seems jayatana
breaks some tools which are running java -version to grep for the runtime
version. Openjdk hardcode though some outputs "Picked up "
that can't be suppress and isn't willing to remove it as they see it as
a security vulnerability. Remove session variable export until java
upstream get a proper upstream solution for Gnome Shell and Unity global
menu. (LP: #1441487)
Meanwhile, people who wants to keep this functionality enabled (or
programs which knows are working well with it) can reexport
JAVA_TOOL_OPTIONS="-javaagent:/usr/share/java/jayatanaag.jar
$JAVA_TOOL_OPTIONS" in their session environment on a per program by
program bases.

[Bug 975636] Re: Trouble setting library location to Pictures/Photos

2015-09-30 Thread John
This continues to be a problem in 0.18.
I set the library location in 'preferences', then imported photos.
Shotwell then crashed catastrophically (i.e. it actually crashed the OS).
Connecting a camera with an empty memory card seems to cause the crash.
When I restarted shotwell, the library location is now set to "none" and any
changes I make are not saved.

Please help us by testing this new package. See
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to
enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update
out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug,
mentioning the version of the package you tested, and change the tag
from verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not fix the
bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to
verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help
us make a better decision.

[Bug 1453174] Re: Opening of magnet links broken

2015-09-30 Thread Chris J Arges
Hello Felix, or anyone else affected,

Accepted gvfs into vivid-proposed. The package will build now and be
available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gvfs/1.24.2-0ubuntu0.1
in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in
advance!

** Changed in: gvfs (Ubuntu Vivid)
   Status: New => Fix Committed

** Tags added: verification-needed
