The archive in question was extracted successfully, however, it does NOT
contain an ISO file not a /tmp folder.

[Bug 1527817] Re: unhelpful error message "Parsing filters is unsupported."

2016-02-06 Thread Martin Palenik
I have the issue. The problem is I am unable to extract an archive with
files of a particular format. The problematic formats are TIFF and PDF.
However, one can open the other files inside the archive (without
extraction). My version is 15.10 with all updates.

[Bug 1542696] [NEW] 16.04 LTS Xenial Xerus does not reboot properly

2016-02-06 Thread Cerberus
Public bug reported:

lsb_release -a
No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description:Ubuntu Xenial Xerus (development branch)
Release:16.04
Codename: xenial

Installed it today and fully updated but it always gets stuck on reboot,
even after installation finished and I got to the part "please remove
installation media and press ENTER" it didnt work, I had to turn off my
laptop, every reboot gets stuck, I get a splash like it is rebooting but
it just stays like that, when I press a key to see console output it
says something like "starting reboot", when I switch to a virtual
console in an attempt to try a manual reboot, I cant even login, prompt
for login is not responding to typing, nothing shows there.

[Bug 1542649] [NEW] gimp makes ~/.thumbnails/ in spite of XDG location already existing

2016-02-06 Thread John Drinkwater
Public bug reported:

john@joran ~ ❯ gimp --version
GNU Image Manipulation Program version 2.8.14

When writing a file, gimp will create a directory (~/.thumbnails) to
write thumbnails into despite XDG locations being defined
(XDG_CACHE_HOME="/home/john/settings/cache"), and the location existing
and containing files already:

john@joran ~ ❯ ls $XDG_CACHE_HOME/thumbnails
fail/ large/ normal/ gnome-exe-thumbnailer.cfg gnome-exe-thumbnailer.files

Can confirm that putting this into gimprc:
(thumbnail-size none)
disables the location being created, but then thumbnails are not generated
either

>From browsing their bugzilla,
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=646644 this was filed and
meant to be fixed.
