[Bug 1563034] [NEW] Screen doesn't lock after timeout when volume control is open (gnome flashback
Public bug reported: I'm not so sure what package is the issue here, the package listed is a guess, this also appears to happen with other menus in the panel. When you have the volume menu open and the screen lock timeout time is reached, the screen will not lock or switch off until the menu is closed. To reproduce: 1. Log in to a gnome flashback session. 2. in the "brightness and lock" settings, set "turn screen off when inactive for" to something other than "never" (pick the shortest time for quick testing), enable lock and set "lock screen after" to "screen turns off" 3. Click the volume icon on the gnome-panel and change the volume. 4. Leave the volume window open and focussed for the time selected in "turn screen off when inactive for" Observed behaviour: Screen does not lock after the time selected (but does when the volume menu is closed) Expected behaviour: Screen should lock regardless of the visibility or focus state of panel icon menus $ lsb_release -rd Description:Ubuntu 14.04.4 LTS Release:14.04 $ apt-cache policy gnome-panel unity-control-center gnome-session gnome-panel: Installed: 1:3.8.0-1ubuntu12.2 Candidate: 1:3.8.0-1ubuntu12.2 Version table: *** 1:3.8.0-1ubuntu12.2 0 500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty-updates/universe amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 1:3.8.0-1ubuntu11 0 500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty/universe amd64 Packages unity-control-center: Installed: 14.04.3+14.04.20150916-0ubuntu1 Candidate: 14.04.3+14.04.20150916-0ubuntu1 Version table: *** 14.04.3+14.04.20150916-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty-updates/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 14.04.3+14.04.20140410-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty/main amd64 Packages gnome-session: Installed: 3.9.90-0ubuntu12.1 Candidate: 3.9.90-0ubuntu12.1 Version table: *** 3.9.90-0ubuntu12.1 0 500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty-updates/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 3.9.90-0ubuntu12 0 500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty/main amd64 Packages ** Affects: gnome-session (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-session in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1563034 Title: Screen doesn't lock after timeout when volume control is open (gnome flashback To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-session/+bug/1563034/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1561803] Re: GNOME Videos shows menubar instead of AppMenu on the CSD Headerbar
I've added a screenshot showing how GNOME Videos should look under a desktop other than Unity 7 (especially other GNOME based desktops like Budgie, Pantheon, etc). The screenshot's from GNOME Videos running on Budgie desktop. I tinkered with the following gsettings value in org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.xsettings : {'Gtk/ShellShowsAppMenu': <0>, 'Gtk/ShellShowsMenubar': <1>, 'Gtk/DecorationLayout': <'menu:minimize, maximize, close'>} Tried different combinations of 'Gtk/ShellShowsAppMenu': <0>, 'Gtk/ShellShowsMenubar': <1> to get it right. It seems the culprit is a bug in the patch adding menubar for GNOME Videos: https://bazaar.launchpad.net/~ubuntu- desktop/totem/ubuntu/view/head:/debian/patches/0001-Add-a-traditional- menubar.patch ** Attachment added: "GNOME Videos.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/totem/+bug/1561803/+attachment/4615142/+files/GNOME%20Videos.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to totem in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1561803 Title: GNOME Videos shows menubar instead of AppMenu on the CSD Headerbar To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/totem/+bug/1561803/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
