[Bug 1619867] Re: Changes to Startup Application Preferences not being remembered in Ubuntu Unity 16.04

2016-09-08 Thread Robert Orzanna
Dear Gunnar,

Yes, indeed this was the case.

I tried to create my startup files manually in that file directory
without using the GUI.

And now it seems that these entries are persistent.

I don't really understand what the underlying issue is.

I will test this for several days more and see if anything changes!

Thanks for all your help so far!

-Robert

[Bug 1621732] [NEW] gedit doesn't show last newline

2016-09-08 Thread Ray Satiro
Public bug reported:

echo 'foo' | tee -a testfile

od -t x1 testfile
000 66 6f 6f 0a
004

gedit testfile

It shows foo as if it doesn't end in a linefeed. In other words I'd
expect the last place I could set the cursor as below the line with foo
but instead the last place is right after the last o.

[Bug 1621215] Re: Sidebar: Other Locations fails to open

2016-09-08 Thread Jeremy Bicha
I'm reassigning this from (nautilus and glib2.0) to (gtk+3.0 and
glib2.0) because upgrading gtk+3.0 to 3.21.5 also fixes this and
downgrading back to yakkety's gtk+3.0 brings the bug back.

Therefore, I believe this bug can be fixed in either GTK or glib.

[Bug 1621663] [NEW] List in forms dialog only has width when called with other items

2016-09-08 Thread Serg
Public bug reported:

When calling

zenity --forms --add-list my_list --list-values="one|two|three"

the resulting list has minimal width making the list unviewable. If
called with something else , it assumes the width of the other item,
like

zenity --forms --add-list my_list --list-values="one|two|three"
--add-entry "TEST"

This doesn't happen with any other item called by itself, for instance

 zenity --forms --add-combo "TST" --combo-values "one|two|three"

will assume width sufficient to display all the items

[Bug 1620557] Re: weather.noaa.gov was shut down

2016-09-08 Thread Jeremy Bicha
Don't worry about marking this a duplicate. We repurposed the other bug
to just track the libmateweather SRU instead.

Do you want to upload the fix for Trusty too?

gnome-applets in Precise is technically no longer supported which I
think was the only thing using this library for actual weather data
there so I'm not personally going to do a precise upload but someone
else could if they wanted to.

[Bug 1621453] [NEW] Sync shared-mime-info 1.7-1 (main) from Debian unstable (main)

2016-09-08 Thread Jeremy Bicha
Public bug reported:

Please sync shared-mime-info 1.7-1 (main) from Debian unstable (main)

Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:
  * debian/patches/squashfs.patch:
- Add .sqsh extension
  * debian/patches/snap.patch:
- Recognise snap files
  * debian/patches/squashfs.patch:
- Recognise squashfs files (LP: #1585867)

Robert Ancell forwarded those changes upstream and they are included in
the new release.

- The new version also recognizes Flatpak files
- It fixes a bug that prevented the Books app (provided by gnome-documents)
from displaying .djvu files
- And adds several other file types and fixes detection of some existing ones

[Bug 1620557] Re: weather.noaa.gov was shut down

2016-09-08 Thread Dmitry Shachnev
This is actually a duplicate of bug 1616533 (which I was not able to
find because it was Fix Released in Yakkety). Let's perform the
verification here and mark it as duplicate once the upload is in
-updates.
