[Bug 1627204] [NEW] Segmentation fault using lookup

2016-09-23 Thread Phill
Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 16.04 LTS installed from scratch with all recent updates
(although problem has existed since first install of 16.04 LTS).

Steps to reproduce:

1) Run `gnome-nettool` in a terminal.
2) Open the lookup tab.
3) Lookup yahoo.com, or anything, I've not found anything that works.
4) Click the lookup button.
5) The program closes with `Segmentation fault (core dumped)` in the terminal.

I can't find the core dump file. The above still happens if run from the
launcher, and comes up with the "report problem" box, which I've clicked
yes to many of times over the last few months.

Happens on two different computers, both x84_64. The computers have
little in common hardware wise.

[Bug 1467588] Re: Gtk-Message: GtkDialog mapped without a transient parent. This is discouraged. Gtk-Message: GtkDialog mapped without a transient parent. This is discouraged. (process:17035): GLib-CR

2016-09-23 Thread Ubfan
This warning started showing up in 2013 when the gtk devs decided to push
for the standard usage of requiring a parent -- maybe they have future
modifications in mind which require this. Anyway, the march goes:
"discouraged",
"deprecated", and finally "removed", so this warning shouldn't be ignored.
Any number of packages may be affected beyond the two indicated in this bug.
Hopefully, zenity is an intermediate to the underlying gtk so fixing zenity
may fix the warning in many packages. Any feedback to the gtk developers on
the number of adversely affected packages might be useful -- they may decide
to allow some environment variable to continue to allow this.

[Bug 1606238] Re: gnome-software won't open

2016-09-23 Thread Willem Hobers
I am wondering whether I am seeing the same bug, or something else.
Please advice:

Running live session of Xubuntu Yakkety.
Linux xubuntu 4.8.0-11-generic #12-Ubuntu SMP Sat Sep 17 19:59:56 UTC 2016 i686
athlon i686 GNU/Linux

Starting gnome-software through the menu or through typing gnome-
software in a terminal, the gnome-software window appears, but freezes.
Then, after a few moments, I get an "Invalid error report" dialogue with
"No such file or directory".

In the terminal I see: Segmentation fault (core dumped).

In /var/crash/ there is this file _usr_bin_gnome-software.999.crash
Double clicking it gives the same "Invalid error report".

[Bug 1506166] Re: Bracketed paste should be per-terminal [PATCH]

2016-09-23 Thread Alexander Drozdov
Vte that uses for GTK+ 2.0 based terminals also affected. XFCE termianl,
Mate Terminal uses libvte9 and affected too. Both Trusty and Xenials
still ships vte 0.28.2.

Note, upstream bug report contains patch based on 0.28.2, so it can be
simple adopted for current package.
