[Bug 1551623] Re: package gconf2 3.2.6-3ubuntu6 failed to install/upgrade: dependency problems - leaving triggers unprocessed

2016-10-22 Thread Michael Alexander
I had almost exactly the same as Maketsi (comment 22) just now in my
upgrade from 16.04 to 16.10, with the one difference that my gconf2 is a
newer version than theirs and mine is set to manually installed (not
sure why). Same experience as hackel (comment 24) too, in that I
rebooted (although upgrader had crashed and didn't tell me to reboot, so
I wasn't even sure if it was stable enough to reboot) and everything is
apparently up to date and stable.

# sudo apt upgrade gconf2

[Bug 1635830] [NEW] Nautilus window bar menu commands cause abnormal CPU usage and "freeze"

2016-10-22 Thread Alexey
Public bug reported:

When i select commands from Nautilus window bar menu such as "New Tab",
"New Folder", "Open in Terminal", the system freezes a bit and the
processor usage can reach 60% on a 6th generation Intel Core i7.

For example, "Open in Terminal" opens the terminal in the current folder
(as expected) and the cursor rapidly blinks for a few seconds, ignoring
attempts to type anything at the prompt.

This abnormal activity does not happen if i choose "New Folder" or "Open
in Terminal" from a pop-up menu, right-clicking in an empty space in the
Nautilus window.

I am using Ubuntu GNOME 16.04.1. According to GNOME developers, GNOME 3.18 is
not supported anymore:

[Bug 1635805] [NEW] popups hamper workflow

2016-10-22 Thread BronsonMathews
Public bug reported:

while i love the new circular icon for copying, moving extracting etc.
when the actions finish they all have their own popup! We need a way to

middle mouse a file, drag and drop it used to bring out a copy, move, etc

[Bug 1635802] [NEW] Rhythmbox: podcasts did not work in Yakkety Yak

2016-10-22 Thread aanno
Public bug reported:

Rhythmbox: podcasts did not work in Yakkety Yak. It has worked in before
(i.e. in Xenial Xerus), hence it is a regression.

To reproduct:

* Add a podcast URL of your choice to rhythmbox (try
http://www.deutschlandfunk.de/podcast-nachrichten.1257.de.podcast.xml if unsure)
* Use the update button
* Click on the episode, download it (right mouse button - context menu)
* Try to hear (by double click or by adding it to the playback list)
* The error occurs:
  * Expected behaviour: The podcast is played.
  * Current behaviour: Nothing happens. Rhythmbox is unable to play the podcast.

** Affects: rhythmbox
 Importance: Unknown
 Status: Unknown

** Affects: rhythmbox (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
