[Bug 1689425] Re: /usr/bin/gnome-software:11:g_source_attach:debconf_accept_cb:socket_source_dispatch:g_main_dispatch:g_main_context_dispatch
Hi Robert, just so you know, we appear to be seeing bug reports also on the package upgrade side as a result of these dropped debconf socket connections, e.g.: bug #1691983. It's sensible for gnome-software not to crash on a failed connection, but I think ultimately what we need are succeeding connections :) so there may be more work to be done here. (unless the failing connections from the other side are because gnome- software has already crashed at that point?) ** Tags added: verification-needed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-software in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1689425 Title: /usr/bin/gnome- software:11:g_source_attach:debconf_accept_cb:socket_source_dispatch:g_main_dispatch:g_main_context_dispatch To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-software/+bug/1689425/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1299604] Re: evolution keeps asking for password
It's been more than 3 years that this bug started, and it is still not fixed!!! I had this problem in Ubuntu from 15.04 all the way to 17.04, and now in SolydK where it is even worse because none of the 10 possible ways to get gnome-keyring-deamon to start on login to work!!! I have tried every workaround offered, and although one or the other works here or there, it is completely inconsistant as to what will and will not work at any given time, and once you found a "Solution" you update the OS or something, and it fails again, then you can try every freakin' option all over again!! Its easier to break into the World Bank and crack the safe! If no one is capable of fixing the problem, then why not just change the way it works (doesn't work) all together: Dump the freaking gnome keyring dependancy completely, and make evolution remember passwords on it's own without it! It would have many advantages. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1299604 Title: evolution keeps asking for password To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/1299604/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
