[Bug 1789338] [NEW] Support wide scope searches
Public bug reported: [Impact] snapd added a new "wide scope" search that finds snaps that do not have stable releases. [Test Case] 1. Open GNOME Software 2. [Bug 1786344] Re: 18.10 镜像无法输入中文
I checked out the 2018-08-27 ISO, and made these observations: 1. When entering a Chinese live session, the Intelligent Pinyin input source (default for Simplified Chinese) is not included in the list of input sources. Only the cn XKB layout is. 2. In Region & Language the Intelligent Pinyin method is not shown in the Chinese sub menu, even if the zh_CN.UTF-8 locale is active, but you need to continue to "Other" to find it. I also found that the problem is not specific to Chinese, but also affects e.g. Japanese. Item 2 is probably a gnome-control-center issue, while item 1 is probably due to some other package. So yes, Ping-Wu, I can basically confirm your observations. Question: Have you also tried a Chinese install? [Bug 1789267] Re: changing user login password via passwd does not update password to unlock keyring if sss is used for user authentication
A little correction to the above note: in bug #911426, the problem with seahorse keyring not being updated was observed when gnome-control- center was used. [Bug 1789267] [NEW] changing user login password via passwd does not update password to unlock keyring if sss is used for user authentication
Public bug reported: On change of user login password with "passwd", the password to unlock seahorse keyring is not automatically updated. On a subsequent successful login to Gnome/Unity, a user is prompted to enter his/her password in a dialogue window that eventually appears when the user attempts to use a service for which seahorse keeps an authentication token or password: "Enter password to unlock your keyring". In order to answer this question correctly, the user has to enter his/her OLD password, not the NEW one. All of the people whom I observed responding to this question were confused into thinking they had to enter their new password, which apparently did not work. Only when they entered their old password into the seahorse dialogue, the seahorse keyring was unlocked successfully and their user login password was then updated in the seahorse keyring. Subsequent logins to Gnome/Unity work just fine. This bug is similar to bug #911426: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control- center/+bug/911426 where essentially the same behaviour was observed with shadow authentication mechanism. I tested with this form: http://archive.mid.ru//bul_ns_en.nsf/uvedomlenie.pdf Foxit Reader for Linux works fine, no need to use Wine So does google-chrome, it even edits the forms. Firefox fails, but prints a ? for every cyrillic letter Im quite sure that this problem can be solved with some font knowlegde. Somehow it must be possible to find ut which Cyrillic font is used in the document, and then make some kind of font substitution in the system.
