[Bug 1797834] [NEW] Ubuntu dash-to-dock "Show on" bug
Public bug reported: Dear developers, How are you? I've noticed a bug/typo on the Settings->Dock->`Show on` settings on dual monitors: the Ubuntu Dock show on to the opposite of the display. In my case: I set "HP 23es" as my primary monitor while built-in screen as my secondary monitor, I then switch the "Show on" from "HP 23es" to "Built-in" display, then back again to "HP 23es", now the Ubuntu dock show on the "Built-in" monitor instead of the "HP 23es". And if I switch to "Built-in" display, the dock display on "HP 23es", which is doing opposite operation. What I guess is that the Ubuntu dock shows the typo information since I've tried dash-to-dock extension without any problems. ** Affects: gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1797834 Title: Ubuntu dash-to-dock "Show on" bug To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock/+bug/1797834/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

It's bugging me too. Unfortunately I don't know how long upstream will take to accept the fix. I have discussed getting it into Ubuntu sooner than upstream but the Ubuntu developers with the power to do that seem to be too busy right now getting 18.10 released. [Bug 1797769] [NEW] LCD backlight brighness reset to maximum after boot / resume / login
Public bug reported: The laptop LCD backlight brightness level is not preserved. The screen brightness always gets reset to 2-steps below the maximum level after login or resume from suspend. This is particularly annoying when working on battery, because after each resume, I have to make screen darker in order to preserve energy. It is possible to control brightness by keyboard buttons and by status- bar slider, so brightness control mostly works.
