This bug affects hexadecimal numbers in "Programming mode":
If a hexadecimal line ends with the hexadecimal digits "AC", the
calculator interprets this as "Acos" and refuses input.
Maybe other combinations of hexadecimal digits have a similar effect.

Still a problem: When BT is turned "Off" in Ubuntu (using the speaker-
icon thingie), the BT does not immediately report disconnection;

I found that removing the following "fixed" the problem:
$HOME/.cache
$HOME/.config/pulse
$HOME/.config/sound-juicer
$HOME/.gconf
Don't know what exactly is(was) the problem. However I backed up my
homedir first, so I can attach any of the deleted files here if that
would be helpful.

Shell boxpoint
Unfortunatelu no new flavor of Ubuntu is supporting 32 bits anymore.
Therefore I had to install Debian 10 (Buster).
Wayland at Debian is running without severe problems.
This problem also is not existing anymore, because Wyland is no longer using an
extra fence register if a dual monitor is used.
On ubuntu 18.04 LTS, the system freezes when you write something on nautilus.
The search is being made on the main thread, which breaks any possible
interaction with nautilus.
Users used to the old way of searching a file inside the current folder,
will get their system blocked many times because
