[Bug 1869462] [NEW] [Unfreeze Request] Please import Debian's ibus-libpinyin 1.11.1-2 for bugfix on dekstop file
Public bug reported: Dear Ubuntu maintainers, I, Boyuan Yang, am one of the package maintainers of ibus-libpinyin in Debian and made the last 2 package uploads. Recently there is a private bug report stating that ibus-libpinyin/1.11.1-1 has a bug in the .desktop files which made the configuration of ibus-libpinyin largely unusable. Details are as follows: Within ibus-libpinyin_1.11.1-1_amd64.deb or similar .deb files, the following files are provided: -rw-r--r-- root/root 528 2019-12-07 18:43 ./usr/share/applications/ibus-setup-libbopomofo.desktop -rw-r--r-- root/root 528 2019-12-07 18:43 ./usr/share/applications/ibus-setup-libpinyin.desktop Their contents are identical, which is not correct. The content of ibus-setup-libpinyin.desktop was wrongly set to be the same as ibus-setup-libpomofo.desktop. This did not happen in previous versions thus it is a regression. I have prepared a minimal bugfix in Debian, versioned 1.11.1-2, to fix this bug. It actually cherry-picked upstream bugfix commits. The full debdiff is provided in the attachment. You may also retrieve the package directly from Debian archive. As a result, I am requesting a freeze exception in Ubuntu. If Ubuntu can unfreeze this package and import the current bugfix from Debian, I believe this bug can be fixed correctly. This is the first time for me to work with Ubuntu as a Debian Developer. Please let me know if more work is needed during this cooperation of bugfix. [Bug 1869390] [NEW] Minimized windows appears behind focused on clicking dropdown menu
You have been subscribed to a public bug: It's happening to me in GNOME. I don't know if it would occur in KDE, Xfce, Budgie... When I click in a dropdown menu (example that do this: Sound device picker in gnome-control-center, example that don't: the hamburger menu in nautilus/terminal) the minimized windows un-minimize and appear behind the focused window, although you can't control most of the window (maximize and close works, clicking the icon in dock makes it usable). Steps to reproduce: 1. Minimize all windows 2. Open gnome-control-panel 3. Go to Appearance, for example. 4. Click a drop-down i.e. dock position. Maximizing the window makes it maximize but minimize at the same time. Closing the window works. Minimize and the rest of the window simply doesn't work. Using: Description:Ubuntu Focal Fossa (development branch) Release:20.04 I have NVIDIA proprietary drivers (440.64). What I expect: Normal behavior, not to get the minimize window behind the focused window. [Bug 1869344] [NEW] gnome-shell right mouse click brings minimized windows to foreground
Public bug reported: In today's update of Ubuntu 20.04, if I do this: * Run Firefox non-maximized * Run another app (eg nautilus or gnome-terminal) * Minimize the other app * Right-click on the firefox window then the other app suddenly re-appears. You can only interact with its titlebar, though - you can't type into gnome-terminal or choose a file in nautilus. Using the titlebar, you can move it around and if you click on the maximize icon or double-click to maximize it, it explodes out into nothingness (effectively, it re-minimizes). You can't minimize it, though, using the minimize button. This happens both in Wayland and in X11 and it happens with all extensions disabled. [Bug 1869310] Re: System problem detected
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It sounds like some part of the system has crashed. To help us find the cause of the crash please follow these steps: 1. Look in /var/crash for crash files and if found run: ubuntu-bug YOURFILE.crash Then tell us the ID of the newly-created bug. 2. If step 1 failed then look at https://errors.ubuntu.com/user/ID where ID is the content of file /var/lib/whoopsie/whoopsie-id on the machine. Do you find any links to recent problems on that page? If so then please send the links to us. 3. If step 2 also failed then apply the workaround from bug 994921, reboot, reproduce the crash, and retry step 1. Please take care to avoid attaching .crash files to bugs as we are unable to process them as file attachments. It would also be a security risk for yourself. ** Package changed: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) => ubuntu ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1869310 Title: System problem detected To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1869310/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
