[Bug 1876415] Re: [nvidia+modeset] Fonts in the GNOME shell not shown.
I am having this bug again right now. Re: [Bug 1866625] Re: OverflowError: With Python 3 Gtk.ListStore only accepts 32 Bit Integers.
It should indeed be done like this: import gi gi.require_version('Gtk', '3.0') from gi.repository import Gtk from gi.repository import GObject mystore = Gtk.ListStore(GObject.TYPE_UINT64) mystore.insert_with_valuesv(-1, [1], [GObject.Value(GObject.TYPE_UINT64, 1330400507426)]) ### I was completely unaware of that possibility because the source of my GTK knowlege is https://lazka.github.io/pgi- docs/#Gtk-3.0/classes/ListStore.html#Gtk.ListStore.set_column_types When checking out the available types one ends up here: https://lazka.github.io/pgi- docs/#GObject-2.0/classes/GType.html#GObject.GType Which does not ring any bell ... So I did it like in https://python-gtk-3-tutorial.readthedocs.io/en/latest/treeview.html #the-model where the Python types are used. ### With the knowlege I gained through this FR it was possible to find this: GObject Built-in Type Constants The Built-in Type constants specify the pre-defined types used by gobject. https://developer.gnome.org/pygobject/stable/gobject-constants.html #gobject-type-constants which is quite useful. ### Thanks! [Bug 1877589] [NEW] Wayland windows does not redraw itself
Public bug reported: I'm not sure, if it is not a bug of certain Wayland applications. [Bug 1877577] [NEW] Multi-monitor not behaving correctly when one display turned off
Public bug reported: The release is 20.04. The gnome-session version is 3.36.0-2ubuntu1. What is expected: 1. When either monitor is turned off, the monitor that is still on becomes the only monitor. 2. The mouse should work. What happens: 1. When the primary monitor is turned off only, the space is not updated. 2. When the non-primary monitor is turned off only, the mouse is frozen. This is https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-session/+bug/1709159 Long version: I have two identical monitors hooked up on HDMI. Let's call them #1 and #2, with #1 left of #2. #1 is primary. Case 1: Turn off #1 (the primary), leaving #2 on: The display has not been updated to detect the turned off monitor. The mouse can move around on #2, including going to the #1 space even though #1 is turned off. When #1 is turned back on, everything works fine too. Case 2: Turn off #2 (the non-primary) leaving #1 on: The display *has* been updated to detect the turned off monitor. The mouse cannot move at all, even though the cursor is visible on #1. This is When #2 is turned back on, there is another display update (another flicker, plus a Pulseaudio notification of new sink detected since the monitor has built-in speakers). [Bug 1877552] Re: gnome-system-monitor crashes
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It sounds like some part of the system has crashed. To help us find the cause of the crash please follow these steps: 1. Look in /var/crash for crash files and if found run: ubuntu-bug YOURFILE.crash Then tell us the ID of the newly-created bug. 2. If step 1 failed then look at https://errors.ubuntu.com/user/ID where ID is the content of file /var/lib/whoopsie/whoopsie-id on the machine. Do you find any links to recent problems on that page? If so then please send the links to us. 3. If step 2 also failed then apply the workaround from bug 994921, reboot, reproduce the crash, and retry step 1. Please take care to avoid attaching .crash files to bugs as we are unable to process them as file attachments. It would also be a security risk for yourself. ** Changed in: gnome-system-monitor (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-system-monitor in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1877552 Title: gnome-system-monitor crashes To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-system-monitor/+bug/1877552/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1877547] [NEW] Dead cursor on 125% scaling on x11
Public bug reported: Opening a bug for this since all other bugs that reported this have been closed. On an X11 session, a dead secondary mouse is displayed when the scaling for a user session has been set to 125% (fractional scaling). Presumably, the dead cursor is a left-over from the login screen with 100% scaling. I've attached a photo for reference. Screen capturing/print screen functionality does not capture the dead cursor. Going back to 100% after logging in, then reverting to 125% removes the dead cursor. [Bug 1181666] Re: gnome-shell randomly blocks mouse clicks from working in app windows
I can easily reproduce this bug on Ubuntu 20.04 with right and left clicking on the desktop to open the context menu alot. On many different machines and virtual machines. This does NOT happen for me when gnome-shell-extension-desktop-icons is deactivated. On some machines I have to explicitly do the desktop context menu thing to force it (otherwise it will not happen) on some machines it randomly happens even if I do not click on the desktop.
