I previously was able to reproduce this issue with, and didn't see a
similar memory-growth behavior (when looking at top). I hope this helps.

Marking this as verified, as it was properly reported as fixed in
previous version (via

which doesn't change anything related to this bug.

Also no e.u.c failure has been recorded so far.

That's a new bug so please log it as such. Though if you are using

feature from their package.

If you are using regular Ubuntu then please open a new bug by running:

I installed the mutter libraries from focal proposed as described in #15 and
the issue seems to be fixed. Also copied my ~/.config/monitors.xml to
/var/lib/gdm/.config/monitors.xml and was able to get the same monitor
configuration working at the login screen.
So this is verified and finally works as it used to work in 18.04.

Nvidia 1080 with two 4K screens. After updating to 440 i only have lost
fraction scaling, gnome settings only shows 100,200,300,400. The old
experimental flag does not work (xorg).

[Bug 1574841] Re: The panel encountered a problem while loading "TrashAppletFactory::TrashApplet".

2020-08-04 Thread pjw
Ubuntu 20.04 Mate: still the same.
Every time after new booting and login crashes TrashAppletFactory::TrashApplet
AND BriskMenuFactory::BriskMenu .
Loggin out and in temporary solves the problem until rebooting the computer.

[Bug 1888960] Re: Whenever I touch the bottom of my touchscreen, on-screen keyboard pops up.

Oh please.
1. For instance, five minutes ago it popped up thrice every moment I was
pressing Ctrl-PgUp. I have no idea what other absolutely innocent actions can
summon it from the deep.
2. That it does not jump out and cover half of the screen.
3. It jumps out, few times in succession usually, causing me to press 'v' key
on it, just to discover it's there again in a few seconds.

Guys, this is not about something that should be deeply debugged with
serious frowning face or about some rare unsolicited bug that suddenly
emerges if you read incantations in reversed Hebrew for three hours
during the full moon when all the planets parade.

It's about a component 99.5% users have been struggling to get rid off
for ten of fifteen years yet which is impossible to turn off because,
well, it's definitely free as in speech when someone decides on your
behalf that you should want to have it on permanent standby.

And no, disabling 'Desktop Icons' obviously did not help.
