[Bug 1915014] [NEW] Screen goes occasionally black after taking a screenshot
You have been subscribed to a public bug: Weird issue which has come to my system via updates - possibly the Linux kernel 5.8? Steps to repro: - Take a screenshot (prt scr) - Continue using the computer After I have taken a screenshot, my display gets quick black flashes when using other applications. Manipulating the screenshot with Pinta, opening web browser, etc.. Screen goes black for a second and then resumes normal operation. This does not happen before taking the screenshot, so it obviously triggers something. The system works and is usable, but the black flashes are pretty odd and distracting. [Bug 1915092] [NEW] lib-gtk-3 / lib-gtk-3-dev NOT compatible
Public bug reported: I'm using Ubuntu-Mate 20.04 and I am trying to compile California (a calendar program) which requires libgtk-3-dev. When I try to install libgtk-3-dev I get: The following packages have unmet dependencies: libgtk-3-dev : Depends: libgtk-3-0 (= 3.24.23-1ubuntu1) but 3.24.23-1ubuntu1.1 is to be installed So I look at what versions of libgtk-3-0 are available 3.24.23-1ubuntu1 and 3.24.23-1ubuntu1.1, of which the latter is installed. So I tried to force install the older version so that it would be compatible with the dev files but it then tries to uninstall my entire Mate desktop, NOT ACCEPTABLE. Launchpad says NOT to self compile Gtk-3 because it's already installed in Ubuntu 20.04 but the version installed seems to be borked having not been compatible with the development packages making it impossible to compile anything that uses gtk-3. [Bug 1915023] [NEW] Fix an extension spamming gnome logs?
Public bug reported: So I have this issue were I downloaded the gamemode extension a long time ago and hade no issue. But in the past month I have been getting these errors in Gnome Logs being spammed hundreds of times https://github.com/gicmo/gamemode-extension/issues/35 Object .Gjs_gamemode_christian_kellner_me_extension_GameModeIndicator (0x5565b80a8c60), has been already deallocated — impossible to set any property on it. This might be caused by the object having been destroyed from C code using something such as destroy(), dispose(), or remove() vfuncs. Object St.Icon (0x5565b7d04800), has been already deallocated — impossible to access it. This might be caused by the object having been destroyed from C code using something such as destroy(), dispose(), or remove() vfuncs. So I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the extension, errors still happen. I then just decided to leave it uninstalled but the errors still come. Unfortunately the creator Christian seems to have given up on updating the extension and last update was for Gnome 3.34 and has not been responsive. What can I do to fix this issue? ** Affects: gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1915023 Title: Fix an extension spamming gnome logs?
