Hi Geraldo Teodoro,

That first issue is intentional behaviour. Although I agree with you and
don't like it either. You can find the previous conversations in bug
1716432 and bug 1884392.

For the second issue please open a new bug with the developers at
https://github.com/micheleg/dash-to-dock/issues

For the third issue please run this command to report the bug:
  ubuntu-bug yaru-theme

For the fourth issue please run this command to report the bug:
  ubuntu-bug nautilus

Please be careful to avoid discussing multiple unrelated issues in a
single bug report.

I also have this problem.
Ubuntu 21.10, Dell 7520 with Nvidia, single monitor HDMI connection.
ps: I do have a logitech mouse with dongle and I did not test if it matters. I
noticed this behavior about 1-2 days ago. Previous it did not seem to be an
issue. Not sure if it's due to an update or a new package.

[Bug 1948008] Re: Copying and pasting files between desktop and Nautilus does not work

2022-01-17 Thread Gunnar Hjalmarsson
I just accomplished the steps in the test plan on latest jammy, and
couldn't reproduce the issue. The file I copied in Nautilus could
successfully be pasted onto the desktop.

@Dariusz: Should gnome-shell-extension-desktop-icons-ng be marked "Fix
Released" for the development version?

(If it's fixed, I'm not able to tell which upstream commit(s) makes the
difference, though.)

Unexpectedly, the frozen Nautilus window reacts well with resizing and
such operations: it’s really just the interaction with tabs and files
that no longer work.

[Bug 1958166] [NEW] Nautilus not responding after unpacking and removing an archive

2022-01-17 Thread Martin Constantino–Bodin
Public bug reported:

Hi,
I was unpacking a .tar.gz archive with the “extract here” button. Once unpacked
(the progress bar on top right not only reached 100%, the dialogue box
disappeared altogether), I removed the archive file. The unpacking was a
success, and the extracted folder appeared on Nautilus, but Nautilus froze.
Impossible to change tab, or to select any file in the current folder.
Strangely enough, the window did not go black with a “Window not responding”
message as they usually do in Gnome-shell: it just did not reacted to any of my
input.
I was able to open a new window of Nautilus, and it worked. It’s just
frustrating as I had 7 tabs pointed to very different location: I had to reopen
all of these by hand.
Regards,
Martin.

[Bug 1936893] Re: Gnome-software says internet access not available while i'm connected

2022-01-17 Thread corrado venturini
Done. now after reboot starting gnome-software i see 'automatic update
paused' and if i click on 'find out more' i have a box saying 'the
current network is metered...'

and i'm unable to correct with
sudo systemctl restart packagekit
or
sudo systemctl restart NetworkManager.service
or
sudo nmcli networking off
sudo nmcli networking on

or going to settings and setting and resetting the option 'metered connection'
in both wifi and network

but this should be solved by NM 1.34.0. while Jammy has NM 1.32.12

[Bug 1958025] [NEW] Tips for Ubuntu 22.04 (I don't know the right channel to send this)

2022-01-17 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

Hi,

I'm Geraldo Teodoro from Brazil.

First: Sorry for my english!
Second: Please, see with attention my tips.

Today, I use macOS Monterey. It's a nice OS, buts Apple team are crazy.
New versions equal fat and bugs and they announce the best system for
ever.

I use/test Ubuntu since 08.10.
I'm testing the 21.10 version and send my tips based on.

First: In default desktop vision, the clock don't in center to screen. If I
hide Dock its OK.
Compare with your webcam position (if you use a laptop). Please, correct this,
it's ugly.

Settings Title windows it's the same. Make in center of window, please.

Second: Favorites in Dock and Trash Icon, it's ugly, no man, please,
remove this. And more, add App to favorite and it hide from default menu
(wtf?).

Please, add a option to sort by name in menu application, some peoples
have only a simple menu (my case).

Third: Decide to use light or dark mode, in Ubuntu the two modes not
complete. Gparted in dark mode the window title bar is light.

Forth: In file manager, make a static grid. :( Dynamic grid not cool. :(

Thanks!

[Bug 1956147] Re: bluetooth: Google Nest not working

2022-01-17 Thread Paul Menzel
The system was updated from Ubuntu 20.04 to 21.10, but it’s still not
working out of the box without the script `a2dp.py`.

I am not able to work more on the issue, as I do not have the
environment, but maybe Canonical and Google should work more closely
together on the QA side.
