I should add, I'm using Ubuntu 22.04 now and I don't face the issue
anymore. In 22.04 I use the Wayland windowing system, so I no longer use
nvidia drivers, not sure if the problem lies there.

nem000 I'm sure I've seen this bug fixed a dozen times in the last
fifteen years or something. It's just a popular bug to re-implement.

Public bug reported:
Happened on Ubuntu `22.10`.
With package `gnome-calendar` `43.1-0ubuntu1`.
When initially created, it is possible to add a reminder to an event
inside the calendar.
However, once the event is created, it is no longer possible to create
new reminders (they are not saved).

Yeah, I mean not part of the daemon itself, I was referring to this piece of
code:

But I see why it can't adjust things itself.

I run Ubuntu 22.04 on a Dell Optiplex 7010.
This issue started suddenly a couple of weeks back - I run updates several
times weekly so not exactly sure when it started.
Just tried adding
MUTTER_DEBUG_FORCE_KMS_MODE=simple
to environment file and after reboot, problem seems to have been resolved.
Have the exact same problem as originally reported using a Lenovo Thinkpad
T480s and Ubuntu 22.10 when I close and re-open my laptop.
Very annoying and I can't believe this bug seems to be so old and has survived
for so many years!
