Still waiting to hear if 'jammy' will be getting this fix. Certainly not
in 'proposed-updates'.

2023-12-08 Thread Christopher Vollick
I am not the original poster, but I had all of the same symptoms. I
manually tried the 45.2-0ubuntu1 version of mutter mentioned above, and
the tablet works now!

Tested Krita, Inkscape, Blender (and general system navigation)

[Bug 2016217]

2023-12-08 Thread fedora-admin-xmlrpc
This component is maintained by the GNOME project. Issues with it should
be reported directly to GNOME at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/.

This issue should only be kept open if it:

1. Relates to Fedora packaging or integration with other Fedora components
2. Is required for Fedora release processes, such as blocker bugs and freeze

[Bug 2043000] Re: Update mutter to 45.2

2023-12-08 Thread Jeremy Bícha
The mesa regression I referred to was in Noble mesa 23.3.0-1ubuntu1 but fixed
in 23.3.0-2ubuntu1
https://autopkgtest.ubuntu.com/packages/m/mutter/noble/amd64

mutter 45.2 is now in Noble Proposed:
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mutter/45.2-1ubuntu1

I have installed mutter 45.2-0ubuntu1 on Ubuntu 23.10 and verified that
the Ubuntu, Ubuntu on Xorg, GNOME, and GNOME Classic sessions still work
well.

[Bug 1711538] Re: Tap-to-click does not work on the GDM login screen

2023-12-08 Thread Alexander Browne
Still an issue with current releases. Default GNOME/libinputa doesn't
enable tap-to-click, but Ubuntu does for the GNOME desktop, and
therefore it should also for GDM.

Easy workaround posted in duplicate bug:

[Bug 2045667] Re: Update gnome-shell to 45.2

2023-12-08 Thread Timo Aaltonen
Hello Jeremy, or anyone else affected,

Accepted gnome-shell into mantic-proposed. The package will build now
and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-
shell/45.2-0ubuntu1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed
repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation on how
to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this
update out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug,
mentioning the version of the package you tested, what testing has been
performed on the package and change the tag from verification-needed-
mantic to verification-done-mantic. If it does not fix the bug for you,
please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification-
failed-mantic. In either case, without details of your testing we will
not be able to proceed.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in
advance for helping!

N.B. The updated package will be released to -updates after the bug(s)
fixed by this package have been verified and the package has been in
-proposed for a minimum of 7 days.
