[Bug 773458] [NEW] When I click on battery icon I see two lines with Laptop Battery informations

2011-04-29 Thread Andrea Grandi
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

1) Ubuntu Natty 11.04

2) gnome-power-manager:
  Installed: 2.32.0-2ubuntu2
  Candidate: 2.32.0-2ubuntu2
  Version table:
 *** 2.32.0-2ubuntu2 0
500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty/main i386 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

3) I expect to see just one line with the text Laptop battery 3:40
left, then Preferences option.

4) I see two lines containing the text Laptop battery 3:40 left, then
Preferences option.
You can see better in the image I attach to this bug report.

N.B: I've an Asus EeePC 1005P and it only have one battery, so
displaying two times the text is wrong.

[Bug 325215] Re: gnome-volume-control only goes to 100%

2009-04-24 Thread Andrea Grandi
Maybe this could be the explanation for this problem I'm having:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=7135502#post7135502

Since I installed Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty, volume is very low on my Asus
EeePC 901 (it worked fine with ubuntu 8.10).

[Bug 307907] [NEW] Trash Applet shows the full trash icon even if it's empty

2008-12-14 Thread Andrea Grandi
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-applets

1) I'm using ubuntu 8.10

2) Trash Applet is included in gnome-applets: 2.24.1-0ubuntu1

3) I put some files into the Trash. I then empty the Trash. Trash is now
empty and I expect the trash icon to change from full trash to empty
trash

4) The icon remain full one. I open the trash and it's empty... no
files. Even in $HOME/.local/share/Trash/files there are no files.

[Bug 295981] [NEW] GDM (and also Xorg) freezes: soft lockup - CPU#1 stuck for 61s!

2008-11-09 Thread Andrea Grandi
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gdm

I'm using Ubuntu 8.10. While I was listening some music with Rhythmbox
and reading a PDF document, suddenly music stopped playing and I noticed
all the system was freezed. I used another PC to try to connect with SSH
and the system let me connect with SSH. I noticed one process was taking
about 100% CPU: it was gdm with process id 6253. I restarted my PC and
tried to look in the log files. I noticed these kind of errors:

[Bug 226815] [NEW] Failed to execute gpg: Broken pipe when email is not in the PGP keyring

2008-05-05 Thread Andrea Grandi
Public bug reported:

Hi,

if you try to send an email with Evolution, encrypting it with PGP and
the recipient is not in the PGP Keyring you get this error message:

Could not create message.
Because Failed to execute gpg: Broken pipe, you may need to select different
mail options.

How to reproduce this:

1) for example you have the PGP public key of your friend Pippo [EMAIL
PROTECTED] in your keyring.
2) you write a mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and select Encrypt
3) at this point Evolution doesn't ask you to select a public key from your
keyring, it simply refuses to encrypt it and gives you this error.

I've added my Google Calendar to Evolution and it doesn't load my
Calendar data. If I start Evolution from a terminal I can see that there
are some errors like these:

(evolution:8860): calendar-gui-CRITICAL **: e_week_view_add_event:
assertion `end add_event_data-week_view-day_starts[0]' failed

You can view the complete output in the attachment.

** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New
