Thanks for reporting this bug.
Could you please be more specific on what the actual issue is? Are
translations not loaded? Is there simply a delay in translations done
upstream? Are you talking about GUI or help files?
The more accurate you are, the more helpful we can be in fixing the
issue.

Looking at the Shotwell imports queue [1], the shotwell.pot template

This is not completely fixed in Shotwell. I've filed bug 1056698 as a

+1 from the translations team, as I think such an important feature

A way to easily check the impact on translations would be to do a diff
between the msgid fields in the .pot file generated by the 2.97 package
vs. the one generated by the 2.98 package. Could someone take care of
that?

Looking at it in more detail, it seems that there is not much we can do
with Evolution, other than disabling upstream message sharing and going
back to the traditional way of importing translations with package
uploads. This is due to the upstream template name being versioned [1].
However, there
After a chat with the Ubuntu One guys, here's the situation:
- The name shown in Rhythmbox (Purchased from Ubuntu One) comes from the name
of the folder in the file system
- Changing the name of the Purchased from Ubuntu One folder (i.e. making it
translatable) might then break sync with
So after some investigation, I've found out that this is related to
upstream sharing.
- For evolution, the issue is that upstream uses a versioned template
name (e.g. evolution-3.6.pot), whereas in Ubuntu, to benefit from
message sharing across distro releases, we use an unversioned template
name
Last-Translator set on the PO file. Are all these
strings translated upstream?
Pierre, could you look into the questions above? They should help us
figuring out if there's anything wrong with the networkmanager import.
Thanks.
Cheers,
David.

I have the feeling it could affect templates such as network manager
where there are an awful lot of suggestions from upstream I suspect to
be the actual translations.

From the latest comments, I'm unsure about the status. Is there anything
else needed to fix this bug?

Not sure if I should change the status or file new bugs, but this does
not seem fixed on my system for Gwibber and Shotwell: their messages in
the Online Accounts integration panel are still in English.

Private bug reported:
GNOME Software shows the package name from the app (the snap's name you
can't change in the store) instead of the human-readable one (the one
you can edit in the store).
That is, the entry in GNOME Software reads 'ubuntu-calculator-app'
instead of 'Calculator (Unity 7)'.
Private bug reported:

log in, and your e-mail address contains a dot (e.g.
