[Bug 260334] [NEW] gvfs FTP only does passive connections

2008-08-22 Thread Dennis Heinson
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gvfs

Connections to FTP servers that require an active connection fail.

While this can be seen as a feature request, it can also be considered a
bug because it does not implement FTP functionality correctly.

Suggested solution: Checkbox active/passive in connect to server
dialogue box. No idea on how to implement it when connecting to an FTP
via the address bar.

** Affects: gvfs (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 217975] [NEW] Cannot delete folders on FTP

2008-04-15 Thread Dennis Heinson
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gvfs
gvfs:
  Installed: 0.2.3-0ubuntu2
  Candidate: 0.2.3-0ubuntu2
  Version table:
 *** 0.2.3-0ubuntu2 0

I am trying to delete a folder on an FTP server (Filezilla Windows FTP
Server). I have the most current update in Hardy as of Apr 15, 2008. If
the folder contains files, gvfs will delete them. It will say preparing
delete for a while. Then, I get the following error:

Couldn't remove the folder XYZ.
Under more details then:
Directory not empty.
It will offer to skip the folder (or all folders that I am trying to delete in
the batch).

When I open the folder to look: It is empty.

This might be related to bug #202553.

[Bug 192049] Re: [Hardy] VM ignores settings in System/Preferences/Removable Media

Apparently so. Maybe there should a link from the Preferences Menu to
the Nautilus Menu. This is a very well hidden configuration dialogue and
it would make much more sense to have it under /Preferences

[Bug 192049] [NEW] [Hardy] VM ignores settings in System/Preferences/Removable Media

2008-02-14 Thread Dennis Heinson
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-volume-manager

I am using all-the-way-updated Hardy. The system settings seem to be
ignored. Even though I have all open explorer windows and such turned
off under Preferences/Removable Media, whenever I attach a device, a
window opens and devices are being auto-mounted.

Thank you!
