whirlpinch.py closed unexpectedly. (same message about 20-30 times,

(How comes you're running a newer version than me if apt-get dist-
upgrade gives no new packages?)

Alacarte, the menu editor, seems to shows all .desktop files in
/usr/share/applications.

live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Hardy
