Re: [Bug 224291] Re: f-spot hangs on exit.

2008-10-07 Thread Stephan Klein
Sorry, cannot confirm on this end.
My f-spot was broken under hardy but an upgrade to intrepid solved the
issue for me. gnupg-agent is currently not installed (I cannot say if it
was removed during the upgrade process). Installing (and starting) it
does not change the fact that f-spot opens and closes without any
hickups.

The crash is indeed not picked up by apport.
If you tell me what to do to get a good stacktrace, I'd be happy to help out.
The output above resulted from the procedure described in
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Backtrace (with evolution-dbg installed). I reckon I
need the dbg versions from all the libraries too?

[Bug 131523] Re: evince chooses wrong font substitutes

2008-03-31 Thread Stephan Klein
I am not so sure whether this is the same or a related issue:
The PDF document attached is displayed by libpoppler based viewers (I tested
evince and epdfview) with all bold and cursive text.
Note that the documents suggests the fonts Courier and Courier-Oblique
(both are no embedded).

$ fc-match Courier
n022003l.pfb: Nimbus Mono L Regular

Nimbus Mono L Regular would be a perfect substitute, since I don't have a font
named 'Courier'.
Although the viewer uses a font that looks like Nimbus (and most likely is),
but renders all text in bold and oblique.

Compare this to the rendering of xpdf (which does handle this
correctly).

Since the correct font is suggested by fontconfig, I am almost sure that
this must be an issue with libpoppler handling something the wrong way.

Nautilus (the GNOME File Manager) is currently in the process of being moved to

This bug is now fixed in upstream by using the new playbin2 (which does
multistream oggs). But according to
(http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=415572) playback applications
must be fixed to use it instead of playbin.
Should separate bugs be filed for totem/rhythmbox and the like?

[Bug 122841] Re: Shares-admin dont remember..

2008-01-09 Thread Stephan Klein
I cannot reproduce this problem anymore. The problem with right click -
Share Folder (i am prompted to install the sharing services although
they are already installed and subsequently the dialog is grayed out)
remains. Maybe a separate bug should be filed for that.
