[Bug 1753525] Re: Wacom tablet not recognized in Settings > Devices

2018-09-10 Thread Will Ethridge
I just attempted the upgrade from 16.04 to 18.04 and have this issue as
well.

Default Ubuntu desktop (gnome desktop on xorg)

Cintiq Companion Hybrid 13HD (DTH-A1300)

Since the update, I have no touch nor stylus input, nor are the hardware
buttons detected when pressed.
In Gnome control center's Wacom Settings Applet, no stylus is detected, but the
tablet is detected.

I cannot remap inputs or calibrate the stylus because they are not
detected.

[Bug 246185] Re: Unlock Private Key dialog mysteriously refers to an application

2010-05-11 Thread Trey Ethridge
Is there some way to determine what started gnome-keyring-prompt via the
command line by looking at the process list? Maybe there is some other
way?

I'm seeing an Unlock Keyring when I boot my laptop. I running Lucid
Lynx and I have it set to automatically login to the desktop. I know
that this prompt is not for the wireless network, because I'm already
connected to the wireless network. I'm posting this message now and I
still have the prompt minimized from when I booted.

[Bug 477160] Re: totem fails to play http streams

2010-01-22 Thread Trey Ethridge
I did some more testing and this works on Fedora 10 and Fedora 8. All I
did was take a playlist in pls format from shoutcast.com and open it.
You need to be behind a firewall that requires a proxy. 9.10 will not
honor the proxy setting like it use to do.

I think this bug should be raised in priority, since it is a regression
and the functionality works in other major distributions. This is due
to something that changed in Ubuntu.

[Bug 309414] Re: Ctrl-Alt-8 and Ctrl-Alt-2 no longer work when mapped as keyboard shortcuts

2009-05-14 Thread Trey Ethridge
I just tried it and it is still broken. In fact, using ctrl+alt+8 and
ctrl+alt+2 with the numbers above the keyboard don't work in jaunty,
whereas they did work in intrepid. So this key combination is
completely broken for me with jaunty.

[Bug 309414] Re: Ctrl-Alt-8 and Ctrl-Alt-2 no longer work when mapped as keyboard shortcuts

2009-02-12 Thread Trey Ethridge
Hello Michele,

Please try it again. I noticed that I didn't clearly state that the key
combination is ctrl+alt+8 and ctrl+alt+2. The number 8 or 2 map to the
up and down arrow on the number keypad. When I tried this key
combination using the numbers 8 and 2 on the main keyboard it worked.

Thanks,

[Bug 214388] Re: Nautilus opens nfs shares each time a user logs in

2008-04-10 Thread Trey Ethridge
The lines in the original bug report are the actual lines from
/etc/fstab. To duplicate, the issue I boot up my laptop and login.
After the wireless network connection is established the shares start to
show up on the desktop. A few seconds later I see a nautilus window for
each share.

Let me know if you need anything else.

I'm using an up to date version of hardy. The nautilus package
installed is:

ii nautilus 1:2.22.2-0ubuntu3
file manager and graphical shell for GNOME

The nautilus windows still open when I login. One window per share. Do
you need any other information?

[Bug 214390] [NEW] Connect to Server bookmarks are not persistent

2008-04-08 Thread Trey Ethridge
Public bug reported:

Bookmarks are not persistent when I create a bookmark using the Connect
to Server dialog. I can connect to a server fine with the dialog. It
will create a launcher on the desktop and a bookmark in nautilus.
However, when I restart my laptop, the bookmark and desktop icon
disappear. The icon and the bookmark should be persistent. They should
remain until I delete them.

** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 214388] [NEW] Nautilus opens nfs shares each time a user logs in

2008-04-08 Thread Trey Ethridge
Public bug reported:

I have a three NFS shares that I mount on my laptop. For example:

fs1:/home/tale/music /home/tale/Music nfs rsize=8192,wsize=8192,timeo=14,intr
fs1:/vol1/videos /home/tale/Videos nfs rsize=8192,wsize=8192,timeo=14,intr
fs1:/home/tale/pictures /home/tale/Pictures/share nfs
rsize=8192,wsize=8192,timeo=14,intr

I just upgraded from gutsy to hardy. With hardy everytime I login nautilus
opens a nautilus window for each NFS share. This is new behavior for hardy.
Hardy also adds icons on the desktop for each share. The icons on the desktop
are fine. However, opening a nautilus window for each share is not fine.

[Bug 201939] Re: Connecting to a ssh host with nautilus is very slow

2008-03-15 Thread Trey Ethridge
I'm experiencing the slowness when using a clean install of hardy alpha
5 or alpha 6. To me this is a show stopper. I use it all the time on
7.10 and it's fast. It is basically unusable right now.

To duplicate, install a clean install of Hardy alpha 6. Then connect to
another machine on the network using a uri like ssh://[EMAIL PROTECTED]
server. It takes 20 to 30 seconds to navigate directories even though
I'm connecting to a local machine with a 100 Mb connection. Connecting
to the same ssh-server with a gutsy install is fast.

[Bug 198531] Re: Connecting to SSH server gives The specified location is not mounted error

2008-03-14 Thread Trey Ethridge
I am also seeing this on Hardy alpha 5 and alpha 6. I use this feature
all the time. As a work around I've been manually typing in the uri to
connect to the server in nautilus. However, browsing a ssh share is
extremely slow compared to a computer running Ubuntu 7.10 on the same
network. I would say browsing network shares is unusable as it exists
now.

I recommend giving this bug higher priority since browsing remote
computers is a valuable feature that would limit adoption of the 8.04
release if this isn't fixed.

I'm not sure if this is related to the GVFS changes that just went in to
the Gnome 2.22 release. Maybe the GVFS developers should be added to
this bug?

[Bug 59060] Re: Invest applet renders incorrectly

2006-12-08 Thread Trey Ethridge
I've discovered that what appears to be unused grey space to the right
of the applet is probably intentional. If you right click on the grey
space you will see the options for removal.

The grey space will change colors as your stock prices rise and fall. I
feel that this is a poor design since so many misunderstand what is
happening.

Hope this helps.

[Bug 37830] Right-click context menu Connect To This Server doesn't set SMB icon when connecting to SMB share.

2006-04-02 Thread Trey Ethridge
Public bug reported:

Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu)
   Severity: Normal
   Priority: (none set)
 Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
To duplicate, open nautilus. Browse to a server using Samba. i.e. smb
://my-windows-server.

Lets say that server has two shares, share-a and share-b. If I click on
the Places-Connect To Server.. option from the main Gnome menu. Then
enter the information to connect to share-a and click connect. An icon
will be added to the desktop for share-a. The icon will be the icon for
SMB network shares. It has a nice little SMB block below the folder
to indicate the network share type.

However, from the nautilus window opened previously, I right click on
share-b and select Connect To This Server. An icon will be created on
the desktop for share-b, but it will be an icon for a network share. It
should be the same icon for the SMB network share.
