After short investigation... GDM implementation of clock-widget does not
use format-string defined for time in locale. Instead it uses hard-
coded, although translatable, format string for clock output.
Therefore for now problem may be solved by properly adapting translations of
the original form

Never mind. Functionality was messed up by update, which I was not
complete (reboot from the session just was ending up in gdm greeter
again). After reboot it is back to normal.

Karmic UNR (2009-09-15) system.

Yes, I observe it in Intrepid, and the error, despite the log message, can not
be really related to insufficient disk space, because the CD-R that was used:
a) was blank
b) was successfully written by another application (the very same blank disk)

I can confirm this behavior on Dell Inspiron 640m and Ubuntu 8.04 To
check it you need only laptop with mouse and touchpad.
As it was already suggested, tap on a touchpad should always be resolved
to a left mouse button click of right handed mouse (do not know how to
explain this more clearly).

There is an inconsistency in handling settings for preferred terminal if
one enables/disables 3D desktop (at least via System-Preferences-
Appearance).
