Literally, I now have no control of Ubuntu's volume control. The icon
at the top of Ubuntu's
is in, but Synaptic Package Manager shows
an audio file as follows: libaudiofile 0.2.6.7 ubuntu 1.9.0 246KB.

Thanks for the info re: alt+left. However, firefox Backspace key does go
back to a previous page.
