The new search functionality of Nautilus by ad-hoc searching files when you
start typing is loved by some and hated by others - I don't want to discuss
this here.
But the new search method lacks an important feature: it is not possible to
distinguish two files (or folders)
It should only show matching files in the current folder.
This is not correct IMHO, as it should show all files that match the search
pattern in the current folder and folders BELOW that. Can you confirm that?

Installing an old nautilus is no option here. This is a really annoying,
broken feature and should be reverted to the old behaviour. Starting to
type lets you loose your overview of where you are in the file system.
If I want to search, I press Ctrl+F. Then this search should be
available.

Don't think so. I have a Galaxy S (not S2) and the same bug as the author in
the upstream bug (with a Galaxy S2).
Maybe someone here can try and confirm this with another Android mobile?

No. killall notify-osd helps nothing on my Wind 100.
notify-osd and gnome-power-manager suck about 20-30% CPU each while flickering
is there.
killing gnome-power-manager stops the flickering.
But this is just a silly workaround.
Could anyone of the devs say a few words to that, because I think
marking this as invalid in kdebase-workspace because it has nothing to to
with this package IMO.
Seeing it as fixed is not the right description IMO.

brightness is broken on MSI WIND U100
Using an upgraded Karmic RC on a MSI Wind U100, the screen flickers too after
login.
Only thing that helps is killing gnome-power.manager and starting it again.
This is a serious bug - Ubuntu is very unusable for the average user of
a Wind.

Same issue here, MSI Wind U100 (with N280) since Upgrade from Jaunty; with all
updates until today.
Notify-OSD uses 28% CPU because of showind the changed screen brightness all
the time.
Approx 3minutes after login the brightness stays at a level.

plenty of space on the right side of the file name. MS Explorer does this,
Konqueror/Dolphin does this, and as you said, nautilus in it's other view does

We (the users) don't know exactly what package is the culprit. You can change
the package if you know another one contains the error.
But the bug is *not* fixed, please change the status to that.

Agreed. I also have the problem that suddenly I have to enter my Password when
I want to ssh to a known host - ssh seems to lookup the password/Key in the
keyring - ant that is locked!

What does NOT work is drag a file into current folder if that folder has many
subFOLDERS, not FILES. When there are files itworks. But when there are
subfolders there is no space for the current one.
