The problem stops when I switch to the nv driver. I tested this just before you added the comment yesterday. I don't really need 3D so I'll just use the nv driver for now. I'll come back to this bug when I have more time to see if newer nvidia drivers still have the problem. -- Redraw

This bug happens in many GTK applications. I associated it with Gaim simply because this is where it annoys me the most. The bug also manifests itself in the GNOME Keyboard preferences 1) go in the layout options tab 2) expand group shift/lock behavior 3) scroll -- Redraw problems when
