[Bug 271755] Re: variable rate mp3 have wrong length
This problem seemed to have been fixed in Jaunty 9.04 and, for me, has reappeared in 10.10. It seems that bitrates are now only showed in discrete values of 32, 64, 128, 144, 196 and so on. Interestingly, VLC shows different overall-bitrates than Rhytmbox and Nautilus. But when looking further in Functions - Media Information - Statistics, VLC also shows the bitrate of Indata with the same wrong value. Once again, in Jaunty the bitrates were shown in continuous numbers, each song had its own bitrate, so VBR files were clearly read correctly. When did this regression occur - and how? BTW, WMP mostly misreads the length and bitrate of VBR MP3s as well, while Winamp reads them reliably. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/271755 Title: variable rate mp3 have wrong length -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 496221] Re: Gnome power manager default thresholds for critical hibernate/shutdown are too low
Hi! I chose to reactivate this error because it persists in 10.10. Power manager seems not able to estimate the battery state. It keeps saying (Estimating...). The battery then runs down until red state without any kind of warning. Also there are problems with the power management of my Ralink WLAN. It frequently is unable to connect if run on battery, or suddenly might disconnect. The fix zsolt provided in #9 (never thanked you, man) worked with slight modifications under 9.04. Have not bothered to apply it to 10.10, because I mostly don't run my battery down more than 40 %. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/496221 Title: Gnome power manager default thresholds for critical hibernate/shutdown are too low -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 384994] Re: Rythmbox doesn't come back to foreground from tray
Hi again - and thanks for getting back :) I do not use desktop effects as these have been deactivated since Jaunty and cannot be reactivated, probably due to graphics issues. The error occurs when one of the windows is set to be always on top. Start up 2 windows (e.g. Nautilus). Then start up Rythmbox and minimize to tray. Test: Maximizing Rythmbox works. Set first window to be always on top. Test: Rythmbox maximizes correctly behind thealways-on-top window. Then minimize RB. Bring second window into foreground. Test: Rythmbox will now stay behind the first AND the second window, instead of maximizing behind the first always-on-top window. As soon as first window is no longer alway-on-top, the error disappears. I guess this error is introduced by the new GNOME desktop functionalities. -- Rythmbox doesn't come back to foreground from tray https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/384994 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 384989] [NEW] Playback stops unexpectedly at end of song
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox This bug seems to be reported before. But here I will report additional problems. The action: playback directly from the library (no playlist); 120 songs selected by entering term in search box; Shuffle mode activated, Crossfading activated (0 secs). Playback stops randomly at the end of a song. Pressing 'Play' again might resume playback - or not. Pressing 'Next', never the less, will play the next song. However, later on there might be two songs playing at the same time! Pressing Play/pause will pause one of the overlying tracks. Then playback might halt again after the underlying track has finished. As you can see, the behavior is somewhat unstable, which is underlined by occasional hangups in playback (brief pauses). The latter doesn't seem to correlate well with system load or memory usage. I have been using Rythmbox for a year now and never experienced this behavior before. I wonder if this has something to do with the system was woken up after being in suspend mode. Restarting Rythmbox did not resolve the issues. If it is desired I will attach debug logs. [Bug 384994] [NEW] Rythmbox doesn't come back to foreground from tray
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox Hi! I am not sure, if this is a GNOME problem or a Rythmbox problem. The action: several windows open. Firefox is maximized in Foreground. Rythmbox minimized to tray. When clicking on Rythmbox icon the Rythmbox window does not appear in the foreground, even though the Rythmbox button in the bottom bar of the Desktop appears and is shaded.
