Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-settings-daemon
This is something that has been annoying me for quite a while now. I'm
not sure whose fault it is: X, the open source intel drivers (I have an
i915 on a Dell Mini 9), randr, gnome-settings-daemon or gnome-display-
properties.

I hope you guys are not serious about inflicting this on your users.
If you want to simplify things, the gnome guys already did it for you
years ago, with spatial nautilus (you know, the default nautilus mode
that Ubuntu specifically patched out to not be the default?), which was

I have been suffering from this a lot in ubuntu 9.04 with my two radio
stations*. I did not find a bug upstream, shouldn't one be created?

That should teach me, for sticking to LTS versions :) the bug
disappeared in Evolution 2.24 (and newer, probably). However, those
computers are still sticking to the LTS release with evo 2.22, so I'm
wondering if this bug should be kept open for an eventual fix.

Well, the fact that there is a workaround (well, not really; putting the
whole forwarded message as a monolithic attachment sucks) does not
invalidate this bug. This doesn't happen with other mimetypes such as
.xls, and is downright confusing.
I filed a bug upstream.

Hold on a sec, Specto does not call the numpy module directly in its
code, afaik, PyGTK is the one calling it. Shouldn't PyGTK be the package
that gets its dependencies fixed? Surely we can't be the only
application with which this happens?
