connection and if I trigger for it to connect automatically with a VPN
then my Ubuntu logs in with neither connected: I have to MANUALLY click
on WIRED Connection then both connects correctly.

(on Xorg), Intel Graphics. No issues in 16.04 (or perhaps a tiny
delay?), but unworkable in 18.04.
Both Fn-Up/Down and `echo value | sudo tee brightness` exhibit the delay
(~2-3 seconds normally).

I tried also to boot with 4.7.2-040702-generic with no success (it was an old
kernel that worked on this machine)
The first kernel version that I have on this machine is 4.5.0-040500-generic,
and even that one does not go after the splash screen. In previous ubuntu

Same problem for me, fresh install of ubuntu gnome 14.04,
monitor change position when i reboot or when i do ALT f2 r
another thing: when i do alt f2 r the keyboard layout switch from italian to
english.

Instead I would expect that it becomes red when is low and an exclamation mark
inside when is very low (as it happens when the computer is not locked)

Copy disk - disk to copy disappears when 'copy' button clicked
I also find the removal of type-ahead very frustrating. I think an
option to re-enable it should be available.
In my opinion the previous behavior was more intuitive: if I wanted to
search fo something I would have used the search function at hand.
