You can see here that Cádiz and Madrid has assigned two different
timezones:

- Cádiz has the wrong UTC timezone.

- Madrid has the right UTC+2 timezone.

Both Cádiz and Madrid (actually, all the Spain cities except Canary
islands) must have the same UTC+2 timezone.

The xdg-user-dirs.mo inside /usr/share/locale/xx/LC_MESSAGES is still

[Bug 560782] Re: add panel won't work till new login

2010-04-25 Thread Ricardo Pérez López
I can confirm the issue. It seems to be a screen refresh problem or
something similar.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Log into GNOME.
2. Open any window and maximize it (this step is not mandatory, but a maximized
window is useful to see the effects of this bug).
3. Right click on the top panel - New panel.

Result: the maximized window is narrowed from the right edge. The
desktop can be seen throughout the space of the right, where the newly
created panel should be. Clicking in that space is like clicking in the
desktop, so it seems to be no real panel. I need to logout and then
log in again in order to see the new panel.

[Bug 562633] [NEW] Find and Replace dialogs shows untranslated, and can't be translated

2010-04-13 Thread Ricardo Pérez López
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

The Find and Replace dialogs (Edit-Find... and Edit-Replace... in
Compose Message window) shows untranslated in my Spanish desktop, and
can't be translated because the affected strings aren't in the Launchpad
template:

https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/lucid/+source/evolution/+pots/evolution/es/+translate

The affected strings are the following:

  - Find
  - Search _backwards
  - Case _sensitive
  - _Regular expression
  - Replace
  - R_eplace:
  - _With:

None of the above strings are in the template.

[Bug 544161] Re: Incorrect use of filenames with special Spanish chars

Another workaround is to install unzip_5.52-12ubuntu1_i386.deb from
Jaunty:

  http://packages.ubuntu.com/jaunty/i386/unzip/download

The unzip_6.0-1_i386.deb version available in Karmic do NOT solve the
issue.

  rica...@kadath:~$ unzip comprobación.zip

[Bug 543664] [NEW] Change... buttons on users-admin dialog untranslated and untranslatable

2010-03-21 Thread Ricardo Pérez López
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-system-tools

The Change... buttons displayed on user-admins dialog shows
untranslated in my Spanish desktop, and can't be translated because that
string is not in the Launchpad template:

  https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/lucid/+source/gnome-system-
tools/+pots/gnome-system-
tools/es/+translate?start=0batch=10show=untranslatedfield.alternative_language=field
.alternative_language-empty-marker=1old_show=all

As you can see, the above template is fully translated into Spanish, but
it doesn't contains the Change... string.

Besides that, all the three buttons have the same hot key (Alt+C for
_Change...).

I attach an screenshot to illustrate the problem.

and the translation is included into the /usr/share/locale-

[Bug 542068] [NEW] Missing translations for xterm failsafe session

2010-03-19 Thread Ricardo Pérez López
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-session

The xterm failsafe session located in
/usr/share/xsessions/xterm.desktop has the X-Ubuntu-Gettext-Domain=gdm
entry in order to use the translations from /usr/share/locale-
langpack/xx/LC_MESSAGES/gdm.mo. However, the Name=xterm and
Comment=Failsafe session with only xterm can't be translated because
there aren't in the Launchpad template.

The following query returns nothing:

https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/lucid/+source/gnome-
session/+pots/gnome-
session-2.0/es/+translate?batch=10show=allsearch=xterm

We need to include i18n facility for, at least, the Comment= key, so we
can translate the Failsafe session with only xterm string.

I attach an screenshot of the GDM Setup application, which you can see
all the session names translated except the failsafe xterm one.

[Bug 458883] Re: [users-admin] deleting a user doesn't work

2009-10-31 Thread Ricardo Pérez López
Great! Using the info submitted by Milan, I've found a create a patch
which solves the user deletion problem for me. Like Milan's one, please
apply the attached patch using:

sudo patch /usr/share/system-tools-backends-2.0/scripts/Users/Users.pm
fix-deleting-user.patch

and report if that fixes the issue for you.

The rationale is: users-admin is using deluser command for deleting a
user, but (I don't know why) does not work. My patch simply uses userdel
command instead, which works as expected.

I have the same problem. I'm unable to delete a user. The dialog removes
the user from the users list, but the user is still in the system.

[Bug 458883] Re: [users-admin] deleting a user doesn't work

2009-10-30 Thread Ricardo Pérez López
I confirm the same behaviour as Jaime Fernando on comment #9: after
execute

sudo killall /usr/bin/perl; sudo /usr/share/system-tools-
backends-2.0/scripts/SystemToolsBackends.pl -m UsersConfig -v ~/stb-
users.log

sudo /usr/share/system-tools-backends-2.0/scripts/SystemToolsBackends.pl
-m UserConfig -v ~/stb-user.log

users-admin works well and really deletes the user.

[Bug 458883] Re: [users-admin] deleting a user doesn't work

2009-10-30 Thread Ricardo Pérez López
WORKAROUND: only typing the following command on a gnome terminal and
leaving it opened:

$ sudo killall /usr/bin/perl; sudo /usr/share/system-tools-
backends-2.0/scripts/SystemToolsBackends.pl -m UsersConfig

Then go to System-Administration-Users and Groups and now you can
delete a user.

[Bug 458883] Re: [users-admin] deleting a user doesn't work

2009-10-30 Thread Ricardo Pérez López
@Milan:

The problem appeared me when I tried to delete a user I had created
several months ago, so obviously I restarted the computer several times
between the user creation and the user deletion.

[Bug 461878] [NEW] Two CD/DVD drive icons in Places-Computer for only one DVD drive in Karmic

2009-10-27 Thread Ricardo Pérez López
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-disk-utility

When I go to Places-Computer in my fully updated Karmic, I can see two
CD/DVD drive icons for my only one DVD drive. Their labels are:

- CD/DVD Drive
- cdrom0

The cdrom0 icon is also placed in Places left pane of Nautilus window.

When I insert a CD into the drive:

- The CD/DVD Drive icon label changes to include the disk label.
- The cdrom0 icon label does not change at all.
- In the Places left pane of Nautilus window:
   - The cdrom0 icon remains unchanged.
   - A new CD icon appears with the same label as the inserted disk.
- If I click on the cdrom0 icon when a disk is into the drive, I get an error
message saying that the place can't be mounted and that the special device
/dev/hda doesn't exist.

According to that, it seems like the cdrom0 icon should not exist.

I attach two screenshots to illustrate the problem.
