I think the problem comes from this function :
gnome_desktop_thumbnail_path_for_uri()
which is part of the libgnomeui package

The thumbnails are stored in ~/.thumbnails/normal (and /large). Each
thumbnail filename seems to be a hash of the original filename. I guess
only the filename is used and not the full path, so two images with the
same name will have the same thumbnail.

Battery applet never says
I spend some hours understanding what was wrong with my mic before a
friend of mine tells me the trick explained here. Therefore I confirm
that it still exists in Feisty on a Sony and on a Dell (hda_intel both)
