[Bug 11334]

2022-05-28 Thread Emilio
(In reply to Martin from comment #57)
> This Problem still exists in Firefox 100 and Ubuntu 22.04 for me.

Please file a new bug with details. It might be a Snap issue, but
reopening a 17 year old bug is probably not the way to go :)

[Bug 555262] Re: Rhythmbox blocks pendrives from mounting

2010-04-07 Thread Emilio
Disabling the mtp plugin allows the pendrives to be detected and mounted
correctly when Rhythmbox is running. However, disabling it is a
workaround and not a fix.

[Bug 555262] Re: Rhythmbox blocks pendrives from mounting

2010-04-07 Thread Emilio
Here is the log you requested. Note that the device is *not* a MTP
device, it's just a pendrive. For the test, I had rhythmbox closed and
did it with both the device mounted and unmounted:

emi...@laptop:~$ mtp-detect
libmtp version: 1.0.2

Listing raw device(s)
   No raw devices found.

You might find this useful too, it's part of the rhythmbox log produced by
running rhythmbox -d. The device does not appear on the list of mountable
devices after plugging in, nor there is a /dev/ entry for it.

[Bug 555262] [NEW] Rhythmbox blocks pendrives from mounting

2010-04-04 Thread Emilio
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

* If Rhythmbox is running and you plug a pendrive on a USB port, the pendrive
doesn't get automounted, nor is available for mounting manually (it doesn't
even get a device in /dev/)
This shows up in dmesg:

[ 2744.150330] usb 2-4: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 16
[ 2744.400413] usb 2-4: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice

[ 2749.430086] usb 2-4: USB disconnect, address 16

Despite the message in 2749.430086, the pendrive is still plugged on the
USB port.

If you close Rhythmbox and then plug the pendrive, it works just fine.
This shows up in dmesg:

[ 2872.110319] usb 2-4: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 17

I'm using Ubuntu Lucid Lynx, rhythmbox 0.12.8-0ubuntu1. I'm sure the
problem is not the pendrive, as I tried with 2 different brands and
sizes and the same thing happened. If you need any other information do
not hesitate to ask.

[Bug 442378] Re: gnome-power-manager settings have no on battery tab

2009-10-08 Thread Emilio
As a workaround, you can get the On Battery tab if you make it detect
your battery and then restart gnome power manager.

To make it detect your battery when you have booted using battery power,
you need to connect the laptop to AC power. If you have booted from AC
power, I guess unplugging the AC cable, waiting some time and restoring
AC power should make it detect it. After that, you can run these 2
commands on a console to restart gnome-powe-manager:

killall gnome-power-manager
gnome-power-manager

Hope this issue can be fixed for Karmic final

[Bug 442378] [NEW] gnome-power-manager settings have no on battery tab

2009-10-04 Thread Emilio
Public bug reported:

I'm running updated Ubuntu Karmic. As far as I know, this is a

2009-06-23 Thread emilio defranco
Dear friend,

I am happy to inform you that the problem segnaled about this bug is
resolved updating the gdm package from version 2.20.7-0ubuntu1.1 to the
version 2.10.10-0ubuntu2.

I have downloaded the new version and have installed it with dpkg -i
command.

The dpkg told me some thing about unresolved dependencies, but at the end of
process gdm --version tell me 2.20.10 and vnc and all rest of computer
working fine.

I hope that this can help you to understand what is the problem and I hope
that can be userfull for other user with the same problem.

Wishes,

Do you want that I open a new bug with the content of my crash file ?

right, those .crash has made to be sent with apport where they will give
useful detail and be retraced to have a debug stacktrace etc, where
adding the file to an open bug will not work correctly

Dear Sir,

I am sorry, but I cannot understand what do you want that I do

I had followed the procedure as you indicate and I had just attached my
crash file in the bug segnalation

Do you want that I open a new bug with the content of my crash file ?

Wishes,

Emilio Defranco

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal
with as a '.crash' file. Please follow these instructions to have apport
report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic
retracer.

If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable
apport in /etc/default/apport and restart.

If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch
nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the
crash report you wish to submit.

If you are using Kubuntu or Xubuntu you can file the crash using
/usr/share/apport/apport-qt --crash-file=/var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash
in a terminal - where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to
report.
I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will
automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more
efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding.

[Bug 323751] [NEW] Nautilus segfaults when copying several groups of files to a FTP server

2009-01-31 Thread Emilio
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

This problem can be reproduced easily.

Steps to reproduce:
1- Connect to a FTP server
2- Copy a group of files, or a directory
3- While files from 2 are still being copied, copy another group of files to
the same server

Expected result: Nautilus copies them simultaneously, and, if not
possible, waits until the first connection is freed and copy them using
it.

Actual result: Nautilus segfaults.

[Bug 297997] Re: Remote control on distance (Werkplek op afstand in Dutch) crashes on connecting

2009-01-22 Thread Emilio Pozuelo Monfort
Closing for lacking a backtrace. Without it, we can't debug the issue as
we are not able to reproduce it. If you can provide us with one, that
would be very much appreciated.

Thanks for your report.

[Bug 309427] Re: Cannot copy between host and remote session

2009-01-22 Thread Emilio Pozuelo Monfort
You can check Vinagre version in Help-About inside the application. Can
you tell us what version you have?

There is clipboard support, yes, so this would be a bug in any case.
