[Bug 555262] Re: Rhythmbox blocks pendrives from mounting
Here is the log you requested. Note that the device is *not* a MTP device, it's just a pendrive. For the test, I had rhythmbox closed and did it with both the device mounted and unmounted: emi...@laptop:~$ mtp-detect libmtp version: 1.0.2 Listing raw device(s) No raw devices found. You might find this useful too, it's part of the rhythmbox log produced by running rhythmbox -d. The device does not appear on the list of mountable devices after plugging in, nor there is a /dev/ entry for it. [Bug 442378] Re: gnome-power-manager settings have no on battery tab
As a workaround, you can get the On Battery tab if you make it detect your battery and then restart gnome power manager. To make it detect your battery when you have booted using battery power, you need to connect the laptop to AC power. If you have booted from AC power, I guess unplugging the AC cable, waiting some time and restoring AC power should make it detect it. After that, you can run these 2 commands on a console to restart gnome-powe-manager: killall gnome-power-manager gnome-power-manager Hope this issue can be fixed for Karmic final -- gnome-power-manager settings have no on battery tab https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/442378 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a '.crash' file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report you wish to submit. If you are using Kubuntu or Xubuntu you can file the crash using /usr/share/apport/apport-qt --crash-file=/var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash in a terminal - where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently.
