[Bug 35222] Re: make clear to users that devices need to be unmount before beeing unpluged

2006-06-03 Thread loftx
I have noticed this too - the problem is the user might not realize this delayed write (async?) behavior is used and think their files have finished copying when in fact it hasn't actually started. Possibly a dialog should pop up when a USB disk is mounted with something like This device uses

[Bug 29809] Re: Window size (mayby placement) is not saved on logoff.

2006-05-27 Thread loftx
I've read through the comments and I don't quite understand: is the current gaim in the repos supposed to remember the position of the buddy list or not? Because it doesn't for me. If this is a bug I'll start a new bug for it (one not relating to the size which is working fine). If it's by

2006-05-20 Thread loftx
Sorry just read the original bug more carefully and my symptons are not exactly the same. For me, there are some files (often created when using sudo make, so maybe that has something to do with it) which can be moved to the wastebasket, but then can't be deleated at all. Retry just brings up the

[Bug 12893] Re: Shouldn't put .Trash-$USER on removable devices

2006-04-29 Thread loftx
I am all for bypassing the recycle bin on removable drives, though it seems like a bit of a deviation from how things work elsewhere (I don't know aboyt network drives or other not-always-available storage). How about different delete file dialog box for removable drives with an checkbox for
