I have this problem too. The text can be copied pasted, it's just too small
to be visible.
Started with gnome-terminal 2.18.1-1ubuntu2.
xterm works fine, and other fonts in most other apps are fine. amsn has an
error that pops up with invisible text too (the error started before, when I
first

Me too. The fonts are so small that I can only see a tiny part of the
cursor, probably only 2 or 3 pixels, blinking and moving, and nothing
else. The Gnome terminal window starts up very small as well, only

The problem is gtk2 updates change the default font-rendering size to 50
To correct it, use this command by doing Alt+F2 (or a terminal if you
can see to type) and
$ gconftool --type float --set
