This is fixed in the latest yaru-theme 19.10.4, gnome-shell 3.34 and adwaita-icon-theme 3.34. I'm also affected by this bug from the Yaru snap on Bionic, which is the same Yaru theme on 19.04 I presume. And I don't think it's a bug in gnome-shell or hardware related.
