Maybe this .rar archive extracting issue is fixed in latest File-Roller 43 release? ** Description changed: 1) Ubuntu 19.10 2) Archive Manager 3.32.2-1 - 3) Display a message if .rar is unsupported. + 3) Display a message if .rar is unsupported or display a message to install p7zip which can extract .rar files. 4) Selecting the ProtectionId.690.December.2017.rar file and then right clicking "Extract Here", Archive Manager creates a multi-GB file named file_id.dz which fills up the harddrive.
