Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. Unfortunately a paper cut should be a small usability issue that affects many people and is quick and easy to fix. I'm afraid this bug can't be addressed as part of this project. This is more of a hardware specific issue , Not a papercut. A paper cut is a minor usability annoyance that an average user would encounter on his/her first day of using a new installation of Ubuntu 9.10. Actually, this happens on every system I've used, with older AND brand new mice, as well as trackpads. But I can see how this could be too difficult to fix as a papercut. It happens to me pretty much everywhere there is a right click menu. Happens both in my Inspiron 700M notebook and my desktop. This bug is caused but the click speed being too low or ignored! What happens is when you right click an item it acts as though you've help the right button in (try this yourself on a file item in nautilus), holding the right mouse button will select the item your hovering when you release the button. yes, this 8.10 and I have tried mouse control adjustments. Thanks for the info... I guess it is time to move to 9.x.
