[Bug 542438] Re: nautilus crashed with SIGSEGV in __libc_start_main()
I am having the same problem. It seems to be related with X-Ubuntu- Gettext-Domain=nautilus getting added at the top of the /usr/share/applications/nautilus.desktop file (actually all nautilus*.desktop files I had a glance at look that way). Also, starting nautilus from a terminal results in the following output before dumping core: (nautilus:12768): EggSMClient-WARNING **: Could not load desktop file '/usr/share/applications/nautilus.desktop': Key file does not start with a group Removing the first line from /usr/share/applications/nautilus.desktop fixes things for me, looks like something in the build system is messing up those desktop files. Some applications seem to be able to cope with that though, but at least nautilus is not. Attached is the broken desktop file. ** Attachment added: Broken nautilus desktop file http://launchpadlibrarian.net/41397979/nautilus.broken.desktop -- nautilus crashed with SIGSEGV in __libc_start_main() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/542438 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 542438] Re: nautilus crashed with SIGSEGV in __libc_start_main()
After another quick check I noticed that this is related to problems in cdbs (langpack.mk to be precise, which adds X-Ubuntu-Gettext-Domain to the .desktop files, possibly LP: #535650). -- nautilus crashed with SIGSEGV in __libc_start_main() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/542438 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
