[Bug 736829] Re: Two finger scrolling on touchpads should be enabled by default

2014-02-03 Thread Matthew Paul Thomas
That this is really an issue is covered in the original bug description.
Since edge-scrolling is both less familiar and more difficult, it should
be a fallback when two-finger scrolling is not possible, not the other
way around.

2014-01-29 Thread Maarten Lankhorst
Is this really an issue? It's enabled by default when edge scrolling is
not enabled.

[Bug 736829] Re: Two finger scrolling on touchpads should be enabled by default

2014-01-29 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
Maarten Lankhorst, thanks for commenting towards this. For me, I would
like to have two finger scrolling enabled by default, without having to
disable edge scrolling. As well, I could see why others would prefer the
same thing, over the status quo.

This wouldn't be an issue, given one being knowledgeable enough could
enable this by default, as noted in the Bug Description. I'm not aware
of any negatives of this change in default behavior, but I'll let one
more knowledgeable than I speak towards this.
