If Ubuntu is going to switch to Thunderbird as the default mail client in Oneiric, I think we either need to remove the Online Accounts capplet, or include the necessary infrastructure to allow Thunderbird to link to Google contacts and calendars. Otherwise, it just appears broken when a user adds

Thanks for the response, Seb. I guess the real bug here then is in populating the dialog box to be more intuitive that an account needs to be added. I think this uncovers a design issue in Ubuntu. We now have three different ways of configuring user accounts: * Messaging and VoIP Accounts -

thanks, that's just what the GNOME guys did this cycle, it let you configure google account and let evolution, empathy etc use those for email, contacts, calendar. They don't support any non google account type for 3.2 ** Changed in: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Low
